Thought the referee yesterday had an excellent game in what was a very entertaining goalless draw. The away fans were brilliant and I hope you all had a safe journey home and those attending last nights fundraiser enjoyed themselves.

PS Was Murray McDowell asked to play the part of Mathew Kelty?

Strange seeing muzzy with a beard white star....still good point for Kelty and they continue to be the team to catch and are very strong....

Will be week to week mate because of scottish cup fixtures and possible replays .

Not so good, would imagine most clubs would prefer to know their fixtures at least 3 weeks in advance.

Fauldhouse Utd 0 v 0 Kelty Hearts

A spirited performance from the hosts today who were minus quite a few players, which probably had a large bearing on the way they set up.

This is a very unforgiving league and Utd did what they had to do today to gain a well earned point after some recent disappointments.

Kelty Hearts started the match well and scored what looked like a good goal which was then ruled offside by the Ref (no linesmen) the Utd keeper had to make a couple of great saves not long after to keep the hoose from going behind.

The hoose had a good effort at goal themselves midway through the first half when Kyle Allison was called upon to make a great save low down to his left turning the shot just wide of goal for a corner.

Hearts were enjoying most of the possession and tried to quicken up play on a couple of occasions around the hoose penalty area but unfortunately for us they were standing firm.

HT

Kelty had been finishing games well of late so there was still hope in the Hearts support that the boys could find a way through in the 2nd half, however the possession remained at the lower end tempo and we invariably found 2 lines or more of the hoose boys ready in waiting by the time we had worked ourselves into position.

Hearts needed to be moving the ball and switching the play quicker in an attempt to get the full backs in behind, but it was all a wee bit too deliberate at times with us today.

Craig O`Reilly did go close however with a left footed shot which went just wide of the keepers right hand post with around 15 mins to go but the hoose were not for losing on the day.

As intimated previously its a tough league where no quarter is asked or given, credit where its due though the home side had a game plan today, given their resources, and stuck to it well.

For our part we need to think what we may have done differently, keep thing`s positive, and get ourselves focused for our Scottish Cup 2nd round tie next week away to Forfar West End.

Team: Kelty Hearts

What was Kelty team and subs yesterday ?.

We will need to be up for this one, Forfar have nothing to lose and are on a good run, confident of progressing into the hat for the 3rd round if we play the way we have so far this season.

Yeah, think he is on his honeymoon. Scott Lawrie was injured in the warm up last week, don't know if he's trained this week so he may be doubtful.

Maybe a chance for Steve Manson to get his 1st start.
