Soundbar/soundbase

So I punched and kicked my way to my laptop to order myself a new TV on black Friday. I'm also thinking of purchasing a soundbar or soundbase to improve the audio output. Not looking to go over £200 for a decent one.

Anyone had any experience with these? Any recommendations?

They are a big improvement over the built-in TV speakers but not a patch on a proper surround sound speaker package and amps. For £200 you could just about stretch to a budget amp & speaker package. The soundbars are no doubt tidier (less cables, etc) and compact so it's entirely up to you. I'd recommend Richer Sounds, very good prices and friendly staff;. There's one in Jamaica Street in Glasgow; http://www.richersounds.com/
