It is brilliant!

Just confirms that Bill Struth of the old club came out with as much delusional pish and bear-tickling sound-bites as the leaders of the new club.

And I wonder whether he realises that his first quote might be open to interpretation.

Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.

According to UEFA articles the CAS has final say in any disputes.

"Pursuant to this rule, clubs are not allowed to change their legal form or structure in order to obtain a licence, simply by 'cleaning up' their balance sheet while offloading debts onto a new entity that might potentially go bankrupt – thus harming creditors (including employees and social/tax authorities) as well as threatening the integrity of sporting competition. Any such alteration of a club's legal form or structure is deemed to be an interruption to its membership of a UEFA member association and consequently three years must pass before a club can apply again for a UEFA licence. In other words, the three-year rule is designed basically to avoid circumvention of the club licensing system."

That is pretty clear.

it is 100% clear that the club is the same club "club can apply again"

True the ECA, ASA,FIFA etc all take stance given to them by the governing body , the SFA. But people who dont have to follow the SFA lead like the BDO , TUPE panel , Setanta have all told them to shove their same club shite up their arse.

bdo are 100% clear we are the same club

"The joint administrators intend to complete a transfer of the business and assets to a new company in the coming days, putting the future of the club on more secure footing.”

the tupe panel followed the rules for new companies and mentioned nothing about the status of the club

setanta? feck knows wht you are talking about

If a new club applied once and we're rejected to the point they went to the highest authority in sport then that new club can apply again in three years.

Nowhere does it say that the club is the same club as the one they are pretending to be.

Nor does it specify which club.

Doublespeak.

LIQUIDATION.

Can anyone explain what the above word means?

yep, the old company will eventually be liquidated and cease to exist, this has nothing to do with the club which officially survived according to all footballing organisations, the two organisations that dealt with the sale of the club, hmrc, the stock market, the asa and the legal experts who have commented on it and the numerous examples of other clubs who went through the same process and survived as the same club

in opposition to this on the new club side you have a variety of sports journos and old ex pros who are not experts on liquidation who said three years ago our history had ended, but now all say we survived, a mythical scots law that no-one on the new club side can find or provide a link to and various theories with no facts backing them up which dont stand the slightest scrutiny

the whole new club argument is based on ignoring the facts and proof and presenting three year old newspaper headlines as evidence because you dont have anything else - its laughable

how can something new apply again - they cant so the club remains the same, you can add that to uefa stating that ‘sporting continuity’ of a club’s match record remains even if that club’s corporate structure had changed, their recognition of fiorentina as the same club despite them completely starting again and buying the badge and trademarks years later, our coefficient points have been added to every year by uefa showing continuation as season 11 -12 is counted ( you used to have an argument about unirea being included, but they have been removed, rangers remains), add that the fact that The UEFA.com ranger’s page lists our history in full and includes our cup results from last season.

you can add that to the simple fact that there is absolutely no evidence from uefa about us being a new club and you can see you are talking utter pish and making a fool of yourself

as for your guff about the bdo quote not mentioning that the club is the same club, the quote is from before the club was transferred over, which by your own argument you would class as the old club, according to your own logic the new club did not exist at this time ;) so the club they are talking about in this situation and which they say has a future is the orignal rangers and the one which survives as the same club to this day - idiot :thumsup2

Very good.

Now please explain

"Sports clubs incorporation under Scots Law"

and see how that fits in....

provide the link to this scots law and then we will talk, you cant do this as it doesnt exist, the two law experts who have commented on the subject state that club and company can be sperated (lord glennie) and that club and company were separated (lord nimmo) and that the club continues under a new company

  • Page 2 “there is no allegation that THE CURRENT OWNER AND OPERATOR OF THE CLUB, TheRangersFootball Club Ltd. (Newco)....”

  • Page 4 “On the 14thof June 2012 a newly incorporated company, Sevco Scotland Ltd., purchased substantially all the business and assets of Oldco, INCLUDING RANGERS FC”
  • Page 4 “*Newco+ BECAME THE OPERATOR OF RANGERS FC within the Third Division of The Scottish Football League”
  • Page 5 “Newco as the current owners and operators of RANGERS FC, although not alleged..........”
  • Page 6 “Rangers FC was liable to sanctions as provided by the Rules in event of a breach WHILE
  • (RA
  • NGERS FC) WAS OWNED AND OPERATED BY OLDCO”
  • Page 6 “...capable of affecting Rangers FC AS A CONTINUING ENTITY now owned and operated byNewco”
  • Page 32 “Oldco as a company, as distinct from the football management or players of Rangers FC asa club...”
  • Page
  • 32 “Rangers FC is of course OWNED AND OPERATED BY NEWCO”
  • Page 33 “...does not affect Rangers FC as a club UNDER ITS NEW OWNERSHIP”

The new club applied and fails (first application) then applies again three years later (second application) simple, eh?

Rangers mk2 have not added to SCOTLAND'S coefficient but Rangers mk1 earned coefficient points for SCOTLAND's European qualifying clubs from before they died still count towards our country's ranking.

Why do you lot always cite events from before the current rules (FFP)? Try looking at Parma or Timişoara.
