toto1504
Lets hope the lads can live upto the growing expectations throughout the season. It would be great for the fans to be bouncing around the ducket again just like the championship winning season. Also very pleasing is that the teams willingness to take time and interact with the good folk of Berwick. As has already been mentioned, lets wait until end of September before we get to carried away. All in all a very encouraging start. Kevin Haynes' Son
Quite right going round the Berwick Pubs , after all it is a football club in Berwick so it is good to show the people of Berwick that the players care rather than the only time being in the town for them is home games. Rumours of the Xmas night out starting in the free trade, then down to the red lion, battery followed by Bedrocks?....
Red Mist
I don't mean 2 offend, just want the new squad to be giving a chance. I'm well aware the last few seasons have been poor. No offence taken, honestly. Agree with your point about the current team being given every chance. 15 new additions to the squad is a damning idictment of those who've been offloaded, and a frank acknowledgement by the manager that something drastic needed to be done. There is a feelgood factor around that's been missing for the past few seasons, and whilst that could easily be derailed by a run of crap results and form, there is a genuine sense that people are keen to get behind the players. A lot of us have been here before mind, so there's still some convincing to be done.
