big al
Quite right, afterall it's never been windy at Gayfield in the summer. Ever.Wind only 1 aspect. Your not as stupid as your post so give it a rest.
1320Lichtie
To be fair we've not had too many really windy days at Gayfield this whole year. Berwick at home in the 5-0 win the only one that really sticks out. Findlay seems so up for this...

lichtie23
I genuinely don't think the game will be on tomorrow. The winds are expected to be around 40mph

NotAFan
I genuinely don't think the game will be on tomorrow. The winds are expected to be around 40mph Games don't generally get called off due to strong winds, do they?
Illuminati
iirc we had a game against Gretna called off during the game as the wind was ridiculous, destroyed parts of the stand
Leicesterlichtie
Depends what the wind is like at pitch level. I came up for match v ayr in Feb 2014 when we had strong winds & sea blowing into section of the ground & that went ahead.
1320Lichtie
Isn't that just a normal day up there? No. Yes it can be terrible at times, but it's a total myth saying it's always really windy up here, before every single game against a Rangers or Celtic this gets said in the papers etc. Only materialises 2/3 times a year. lichtie23
Games don't generally get called off due to strong winds, do they?Yea we have had a few. I remember a game against Stirling a few seasons ago that started but only last 20 minutes. It was a farce
A sense of belonging
Even if it's not called off the wind will ruin it as a football game unfortunately
