Duns Fan
Looks like another weekend without football. We have Hawick tomorrow but with the recent weather again a cant see the dingers or anyone tomorrow having a game unless its 3G? Oh btw good luck to Lothian for their replay tomorrow. Derek1234
I seen a picture of the Hawick park last night and it's 100% under water. It looked like a river! Their park could be off for weeks in all honesty.

HibeeJibee
Few years ago it was flooded one weekend and playable the next. Not imagining Hawick-Duns will happen tomorrow, tbf, unless at water polo...

The Bull
Burntisland Shipyard v Tynecastle is postponed due to the Forth Road Bridge closure.
surely not!
Burntisland Shipyard v Tynecastle is postponed due to the Forth Road Bridge closure. Eh? Tell me that's not the reason. If it is then it's embarrassing. The other bridges are 15 miles away ageing 30 miles to the journey. The train goes very close to Burntislands ground aswell. If games are getting called of for this sort of thing then the EoS has descended into a glorified pub league.
HibeeJibee
Well, it is confirmed on the Burntisland website that the game is off due to the Forth Road Bridge being closed... http://burntislandshipyard.co.uk/match-reports/tynecastle-match-postponed-due-to-bridge-closure/ The East of Scotland League Board have postponed tomorrow’s match at the request of Tynecastle FC. The request was made due to the likely travel difficulties caused by the closure of the Forth Road Bridge. Our next two matches at Coldstream on the 12th and at home to Lothian Thistle on the 19th are due to go ahead as scheduled. Peebles v Ormiston is also off. Inspections at 8:30am for Civil Service v Selkirk, and at 9am for Coldstream v Leith. I've not seen anything regarding Stirling Uni EOS v Eyemouth... Heriot-Watt Uni v Craigroyston should be fine given 3G pitch.

Rab B Nesbit
Will they still get Ainslie Park on monday. Spartans have tweeted that's now TBC. Would think there will also be concerns with travel and the Forth Road Bridge closure.

HibeeJibee
Monday night now Will they still get Ainslie Park on Monday. If it they cannot get ahold of Saughton or Ainslie Park (tbf maybe they're not allowed to go Saughton now: having previously agreed to surrender home advantage?) it can be played at "any nearby ground of at least equivalent capacity" or something along those lines. Tuesday is also permissible.
