Shandon Par
Edith Bowman's sound tracking is brilliant. She interviews mainly film directors and just chats to them about the music in their films. She knows her films and her music and the interviewees respond so well to her. I was never a big fan of hers (even if I did have one of the best nights ever at her parents' hotel) but she's so good here doing something she's clearly passionate and knowledgeable about. She was doing something similar on 6 Music but was pissed at it not being a regular slot or just having very short runs so decided to branch out and do it alone. If you like films and/or music it's a real treat.
Marsh
Graham Hunter is slightly over-sycophantic but by and large his interviews are magic. Kevin Bridges one was excellent. Looking forward to hearing the Stan Petrov one.

locheedfcno1
I've exhausted the 3 series of Jimmy Bullard's magic sponge. Does anyone know of any comedy/football crossover podcasts? I highly, highly reccomend 'Athletico Mince' starring Bob Mortimer. Random, hysterical nonsense. Especially 'Gangs of EPL' and 'Robson wants to meet Rafa'. The Scottish Dirges too. Amazing. Jimmy bullards magic sponge is quality. Danny bakers morning Saturday show is worth a listen and of course old favourite off the ball. Get me through my work quick
EdgarusQPFC
I used to listen to "The Biggest Problem in the universe" due to "creative differences" the 2 guys who did it started their own podcasts, since thats happened its became clear who of the two had the talent. I also watch The Drunken Peasants Podcast and Nerdcubed's gaming podcast

Magic sponge has some brilliant tales. Not sure it's a distinct comedy/football crossover but the terrace podcast is usually pretty funny. Would recommend P&B's very own Soccer FM as well.
locheedfcno1
Not a football one but Jon gaunt has lively debates on his show. Full of himself but a good listen [emoji101]
fanny paddery
I am enjoying one out here in Australia called the Howie Games. Mark Howard informally interviews sportsmen from a wide range of backgrounds for around 75 minutes. While I havent know the back stories to alot of the guests, the stories they tell about being a professional athlete is really interesting. First guest was Adam Gilchrist, they have also had Greg Norman and the Australia football manager, all interesting characters. Shandon Par
Crimetown if you liked Goodfellas (the film, not the pizzas) and like modern HBO crime shows you'll like this. Cracking production and music, great accents and interviews with wise guys (offer 70 somethings who have spent the last few decades in jail). It's basically just mafia crime tales from Rhode Islamd with interviews with the main protagonists interspersed with candid interviews and decent music.
MSU
I've really got into podcasts over the last year or two. Probably most of these are fairly popular anyway, but in case anyone's looking for a recommendation: * Richard Herring Leicester Square Theatre Podcast -- If you're interested in a guy who's not quite as funny as Stewart Lee but who has significantly more frequent output, this is for you. Rich puts out a ton of content, all of it free and seldom dull. RHLSTP is him interviewing people from the world of comedy (and Suzie Dent) for an hour or so, dipping into emergency questions when required. Also download his Me 1 vs Me 2 Snooker podcast but haven't listened to it in a while. * Athletico Mince -- Bob Mortimer & Andy Dawson spend a guaranteed 8% of their time talking about football. Surreal brilliance, mostly from Bob it has to be said, featuring Gangs of the EPL, Steve Maclaren's Hair Island, Scottish Songs with tits to spare. The only podcast to make me laugh out loud in three airports in one day. * Missing Richard Simmons -- for me, a Serial-esque podcast that out-Serials Serial. American fitness guru, Richard Simmons, disappeared from the face of the earth a few years ago. A guy from the Daily Show is determined to find him. Great stuff. * Harry Potter & The Sacred Text -- I have no idea why I listen to this. I hate it. Imagine if the Harry Potter books were a sacred text like the Bible. Two painfully politically correct people read it in that way and agree with each other for half an hour. I listen to this on my drive in to work on a Tuesday and shout quite a lot at the ridiculous things these idiots say to each other. It's cathartic or something. * My Dad Wrote A Porno -- this guy's dad wrote an erotic novel. Tits, bums, fannies, the lot. He reads it out to his baffled friends. Frequent interruptions as they come to terms with how often words like "cervix" appear. Was really funny for the first series but it's very repetitive so maybe doesn't have any lasting value. * Four Finger Discount -- Aussies Mitch & Dando review classic Simpson episodes. Dando really is thick. They're on season five at the moment where most of the classic episodes are to be found. Most podcasts are three times longer than the episode it reviews. * This American Life -- classic NPR podcast. Ira Glass introduces three of four themed stories a week. Probably the most consistently brilliant podcast (and radio show) out there. * Sword & Scale -- gritty true crime shenanigans. * Kermode & Mayo -- Five Live movie reviews. * Danny Baker Show -- nuff said. * Fighting Talk -- Colin Murray's back on it now. -- plus Off The Ball, Sportsound, Five Live Football Daily, Pienaar's Politics etc etc Edited March 11, 2017 by MSU

There's about 10 old ones from 6 Music and about 25 new ones from his own podcast over the last year.

NorthernJambo
Elis James and John Robins on Radio X podcast is decent. Won't be for everyone but I laugh out loud often enough. The Magic Sponge has returned, get some cracking football stories in the back catalogue.
Shandon Par
Russell Brand has a new podcast called Under the Skin. He has become a student and is roping in academics he has been studying. Comes from a good hearted place anyway:
mizfit
Stumbled across one the other night called astonishing legends, quite a decent listen, just goes on about unsolved phenomenon and providing theories into why we think we see things, or giving an overview of incidents. The dyatlov pass incident being very interesting.

The three-parter on the Long Island Serial killer is interesting and I got some good tips and hints.

Being a fan of Harry Potter I listened to a couple of episodes from this a while back. The way they both pronounce Voldemort like he's fucking French.
