catcoach Posted April 3, 2016 Share Posted April 3, 2016 Morning Everyone, Two experienced goalkeeping coaches are preparing a list of any amateur goalkeepers who would care to be involved in specialist sessions once the current campaign has finished - projected time span late May and through to mid-June. The programme would allow goalkeepers from any amateur league to gain a better level of fitness before they return to their club(s) for pre-season sessions with their own coaches. Genuine interest on this topic please. Taking the idea further, one of the coaches is actively seeking to join an established and ambitious amateur club and take their goalkeepers ( signed and potential trialists) alongside club training sessions. In order that both parties can view the potential of this arrangement, the goalkeeping sessions would be on a trial basis,and any subsequent extension could be agreed for the start of season 2016-2017. Plenty time for more approaches from goalkeepers or their managers/coaches. And the one club ( so far ) on the subject of a coach being available to link-up with an amateur club and take their goalkeepers ( both signed and any trialists) for pre-season training sessions alongside the outfield players. Club coaches have been great at replying very quickly, so many thanks for that.They have all shown great interest. catcoach Posted April 13, 2016 Author Share Posted April 13, 2016 Great to get feedback this morning from one goalkeeper who is known to us from being signed at senior football level and is now enjoying great success at amateur level. The coaches are delighted to offer him some sessions before the end of the current campaign if he needs them,and also pre-season. A good genuine response all things considered.
