McRuffian
Techno, techno, techno, techno ........ phobe alert. Is there anyway whatsoever to track a lost & switched off mobile phone? If this is the most stupid question in the history of foruming then at least I will have achieved something. Thanks in advance.
MuckleMoo
If the phone is off then you're pretty much fecked I'm afraid, however, if it's on and the phone was linked to your Google account you might get some joy http://trendblog.net/how-to-track-your-lost-android-phone-without-tracking-app/ Have a look at the link and it will talk you through the process
McRuffian
Thanks for the reply mate. The phone is most definitely switched off. I switched it off as I was running out of battery and was needing to save some of it. Also, I have contacted my network to have them block the phone and sim so I take it that the above info wouldn't work in that case if someone had it and switched it on? MuckleMoo
If it's been blocked then yeah you won't be able to track it. I lost my phone at the Hydro at the weekend there. I only had the b*****ding thing 3 days! If it's any consolation my phone provider said that once the phone is blocked it's as much use as an expensive paper weight although how true that is I'm not sure. Always see independent shops advertising their ability to unblock phones
McRuffian
It is a consolation mate aye and I also read elsewhere that they are useless when blocked so I hope so. It's a sickener isn't it? I'm still holding out some hope of getting it back though as I'm pretty sure where I lost it. Just hoping that some decent soul has handed it in.
