MAC THE KNIFE
AT LAST NIGHT`s GAME & THE SHIRE DEFENDING AT TIME WAS AS BAD AS THE SELKIRK AWAY GAME . AT LEAST THEY GOT A POINT AFTER BEING 0-2 DOWN BUT I THOUGHT THAT SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HOLD OUT 12 MINUTES FOR ALL 3 ! JOY of F**K**K STADIUM FOR NEXT WEEK`s CUP TIE v TYNY
come on shire
The Colts goal tune was Bits 'n' Pieces. The sad irony was that was how the Shire defence was like at goal time for the Colts. On the other hand, the big positive was coming back from 2-0 down to take the lead. Would preferred to have held out though obviously. However, shows how much fight the team have. However, I would say the main thing was just how entertaining the game was for a Fri night. End to end stuff with both teams looking to make it a spectacle. Especially for a Fri night when both sets of players have maybe had a quick turnaround from work on a Fri after a long week. Excellent game to watch.
AlansHotBath
Drawn away to Selkirk in the LLC 1st round. (Full ties here: http://eaststirlingshirefc.co.uk/archives/1686) Will be tricky, Yarrow Park was home to our worst result of the season, and their form has been decent in the past few months - with wins over Dalbettie, Colts away, and a draw with East Kilbride. Speaking of EK, the big tie of the round will be them hosting Spartans.
Nimmo's Notes
Plenty incentive given the result last time out. Nice wee trip for that time of year.

Think that will be a bye for Spartans as EK will be playing elsewhere that day
AlansHotBath
That was a good, if at time quite frustrating win today. Tynecastle did well, were better than us for large parts, they certainly didn't look like a team from a league below and could certainly hold their own in the LL. It'll be a big ask with EK and Cumbernauld also in the semis but it would be brilliant if we could go on and win the cup
Nimmo's Notes
Missed a pile of chances but an entertaining game. Great to see the Tynecastle boys getting a big ovation from the home support at the end, well deserved.

luggy
Must say the Falkirk Stadium experience was miles better than Stenny[emoji106] hope we can make this happen.
craigiemack
Wouldn't say it will happen but with some of the board asking how the fans enjoyed it suggests that they're thinking about it

JakeSAFC
It cant be any worse than Stenny I agree that Ochilview is a complete dump and awful for watching football, but surely playing in a big stadium, like the Falkirk Stadium, with about 200/300 people in it is just as bad?

There's not much of an atmosphere at either to be fair. The main positive about Falkirk is the fact that we wont have the bi-weekly chief red jacket power trip. They took less than half of what Stenny wanted to play the game on Saturday.

Suppose if its cheaper then the Shire should go for it, suppose it all depends on what the uni decide to do.
AlansHotBath
Stirling Uni have only just moved to the Falkirk Stadium after a few years at Forthbank, so it's possible their agreement with FFC maybe has a couple of years to run yet? That issue aside I'd imagine most people would be happier to see us move to Falkirk than stay at Stenny
AlansHotBath
Although the big question of course is: what will Stenny do without us paying digs? That's got to be a big chunk out of their budget
calmac25
Stirling uni might be able to negotiate a cheaper rent at ochilview
