GLASGOW-BASED CLUB SEEK PLAYERS

GLASGOW-based Peterhead Youths require experienced Under-17 players ( born 2000),

for all positions. Coach Jim Gordon has vast experience within the game, and many

former players he worked with and developed from grassroots level have gone into

the professional ranks. Players will be required to train twice a week at a good venue,

and be available for Saturday afternoon games in the Paisley Johnstone and District

Football League.

Despite the holiday period, there was a very good turn-out of 12 players for training

on Thursday.

There will be another work-out for the Under-17 players, plus more newcomers seeking to

sign for a progessive set-up under Jim Gordon, today ( Sunday) in a location at Bearsden.

Jim, who spent five years working through from Under-12 to Under-17 level, said:

"A lot of these players have been with a good standard of team(s), but not been properly

 coached. My sessions are done with the ball, and they gave me great feedback

on Thursday. You don't need to run players to improve their fitness levels. I don't

believe in that - get them used to working with a football at training."
