onlythelonely1
Wasn't at the game today but gutted we couldn't get all 3 points. Usual late goal from stenny against us
beaver1
Despite all the doom and gloom around Ochilview we matched one of the full time teams in the league. At the same time it would be fair to say we didn't get the rub of the green. An innocuous penalty, a very dubious offside and a soft red card all went against us. Fortunately, as we all know, they even themselves out over the course of the season...The equaliser was deserved and wasn't a surprise. The two Airdrie centre halves looked shaky throughout the match, especially Boateng. Very vulnerable. McMenamin and Shaw look a good partnership and we look like we now have a threat up front. Both keepers were suspect yesterday. But they're both very young and could turn out to be good goalies in the future, but if McCabe keeps playing like that he is going to cause us problems. Neilly
Heard a rumour from an Airdrie director that they are struggling financially with the full time status and may get taken over by Clydebank. Any truth?
CEMSFC
Anyone know why we took McMenamin off? We need to keep him on as he is the only experienced striker we have and the only one who can head the ball. Didn't get to see his goal as I was manning the away turnstiles but heard it was just a normal header from him, seems to be how he is scoring all of his goals recently. Probably because he's 35 years old and needs to be used sparingly over the course of the season?

I know but we can't just put 3 young and inexperienced strikers on at the same time and expect goals. If Bomber was to get another experienced striker then it would be easier to do. Neilly
Do you live on planet earth at all mate? Why is Fraser Kerr getting involved in shenanigans at 94 minutes on the clock knowing how weak we are in his position? Good player but the brain of CEMSFC. Diamond Sab
Airdrie should have continued to push on and close the game at 2.1 but credlt to Stenny for going for it to get something from the game putting on the subs and attacking while Airdrie were slow to react with one substitution keeping both Gorman and Daly on the bench .Was at the game it looked as if Airdrie were trying to hold it at 2.1 .This season is a steep leaning curve and the first division is no place for errors esp in defence. beaver1
True. In that case Russell should have been sent off. Hammered the ball out the park when called offside. Ref let it go. But that would have been a soft red card.

McBride appears to be reading the Gary Bollan book of substututions 1) Don't make any at all 2) Wait until very late in the game when the oncoming player will have little impact 3) Make a sub for the sake of making one. I know a lot of folk will say there was no need for a change yesterday, but a couple of tactical subs with 15/20 mins to go could have made a difference. Making a tactical change at 2-1 is a bit of a no win, those tactics have worked for 70 minutes so you need to be sure what you're doing to change something that has worked to that point. Any change he makes isn't going to get any credit because we were in a winning position anyway, and any change (or non-change in this case) which ends up in us not winning results in him being criticised. I would say I don't really like making subs with 5 minutes to go, unless the player is clearly struggling and needs to come off obviously. It takes a few minutes for a player to get up to speed with a game, settle into their position, re-organise marking at set-pieces etc. Coming on with 5 minutes to go has all the disadvantages of being a substitute without having any time for them to really show what they can do. Cooper81
Your either bringing on Connor or Daly who are not ball winners. Gorman who gave away goal at motherwell so what change would have helped us over the line ?
