Here is a map of all the venues for the Winter Dance Party in January/February 1959. This is the one where Buddly Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Boppa died in a plane crash going from venue 11 to venue 12. Considering how cold it would have been at that time of year, it looks over-ambitious and chaotic. The tour continued to the end - they simply found other acts to fill the gaps.
