fan of the juniors
Miller would never do this He sure wouldn't . Couldn't imagine him badgering a ref just because 1 wee tiny area of the pitch was a bit dodgy [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849]

Rankbad1n
Exactly same happened with the petershill fiasco a few seasons ago The problem then was the goal areas an far side touch line were solid with ice, dangerous to all concerned. Robster2
Heard the same thing. Beith and Buffs players agreed 1st hand info[emoji12] no point risking injury
Ihp
When was the last time you saw a player drown on the pitch? Just get on with it;-)

Millar MBE? Willie Knox son of God won five Scottish Cups and was awarded the BEM. You have to be Rod Stewart to win an MBE and accept it from the lady his beloved club's supporters despise. stuarty1976
Game should have been cancelled last night- weather forecast was to be monsoon conditions and a hurricane wind. Farcical decision to call the game ON this morning in the first instance!!!!
stuarty1976
As for the Buffs wanting the game cancelled ...played Beith 8 times under Strain and lost twice!! Beat them again and will get to keep them
beithboy
Having been down at the park and helped in the morning I can assure you the park was playable, have seen Bellsdale (and other parks) in far worse condition and the game went ahead. Total disgrace this was called off only 35 mins before kick off. I also walked on the park after it was called off and it was fine.
stuarty1976
I can understand Beith being desperate for the game to go ahead on a waterlogged park. Buffs would struggle to play "football" on it. On the other hand , the home teams style of lumping it forward would have had less effect on them. Looking forward to the rearranged fixture
honestbuff
It was a feckin monsoon this morning. No matter the state of the pitch due to the rain, the wind would have made the game a farce no matter if you like to play the long ball or on the deck. Let's save the game for weather it deserves. Buffs had no injuries and one player suspended. 2 weeks ago we had 5 oot and we had the game in the bag after 30 minutes.

Just a pity for your mob that you never turned up in the SCOTTISH cup semi final first leg though eh? the nearly man
Pitch stood up well to the poor weather and had been worked on all morning to prevent any problems should there have been any showers during the game, I'm quite happy for the ref to make the call but there was a reluctance from the visitors to play and that had surfaced long before Saturday and had nothing to do with playing conditions. juventus
The match officials are to blame here the should be at the home ground at least an hour and a half before kick off and make a call then not to call it off 35 mins before kick off is a farce

lonewolfie
Bottom line here is that games just shouldn't be played in these weather conditions - what enjoyment is there for spectators? NONE! Oh wait, the fans? They don't matter, surely.

Despite the scoreline, we more than matched you on the day. We got a win in the second leg, but sadly not enough. Nearlyvde railed our promotion effort.
