  1. In the glorious North Ayrshire sunshine, both teams gave their all on a fantastic pitch. Buffs are a work in progress and lacking a consistent 90 minutes. Two excellent goals from Boylan and McLean were undone by a late lack in concentration and both teams had to settle for a draw. Great to see Dylan Mackin back out on the pitch after a long injury lay off. Onwards and upwards COYB

  3. What was your take on the penalty decision? It looked very soft. Chap next to us was filming the game and played back the incident, looked very little in it. Definitely knocked the stuffing out of us, but credit to Boness they deserved to win the game.
  4. Miles off it tonight. On to Ladeside next weekend.

  6. 50 years of lower league obscurity. A history of WFAANW. Back in your box.
  7. Scottish Cup time again for Buffs. A tough tie, does anyone give us a chance?
  8. Fans being flounced for Noel's divorce bill. Oasis had 2 good albums then Be Here Now happened. Everything since has been beige junk.
  9. Cumnock Juniors 3-1 Gartcairn Hurlford United 2-2 Troon Vale of Clyde 1-2 Maybole Juniors Larkhall Thistle 3-0 Bonnyton Thistle Vale of Leven 1-2 Finnart East Kilbride Thistle 2 - 0 BSC Glasgow
  10. I'll see that and raise you 'The Unforgettable Fire'. The Bends is far superior to OK Computer. Everything after that was/is patchy.
  11. There's little sympathy for Darvel. Anybody that follows this level of football knows that the eventual outcome was inevitable. The mountain of debt accumulated was unsustainable given the size and potential of the club. I really hope Darvel survives, but plenty of folk who jumped on board and enjoyed the ride should be looking long and hard in the mirror.
  12. There's no question we are lightweight, lacking a physical presence. As far as I know Dylan picked up an injury pre season, but is hoping to be back training in the next month.
  13. A tough day for this new Buffs team yesterday. An excellent first half with two good goals from Lamont and Caldwell had us deservedly in front 2 1. Second half we seemed to retreat into our shell and lost a couple of very poor goals to surrender all 3 points. With a new team and several young players it's going to be an up and down kind of a season. I'd like one tweak of the team and through time we'll not be a million miles away. We need a physical experienced centre half to anchor the team, to guide the defence when things get a wee bit tough. Does Mr Fabiani still have a pair of boots by any chance? Post match interview the manager looks frustrated and it's obvious how much he cares, that'll do me. Onwards and upwards COYB
  14. I was at Drumchapel's ground with Buffs last season. In my mind it's not fit for purpose as a premier league ground. Viewing from two sides only and not the whole touchline at that. Access to toilets from the far side appeared to be from the pitch. Very limited facilities. It's okay spending money on the team, but the facilities don't match that ambition. There's some good people at that club too, their supporters are good for the banter.
