Not pretty and not becoming. The football though from  one team was decent enough.

I enjoyed the game and the spectacle and St Rochs are to be commended for generating that big a crowd. They made Talbot supporters on Saturday look like choirboys. I also always liked Hanlon as a player, but he was more demented than ever tonight, which is some going in that back 4.

Numbers 7, 9 & 10 stood out a mile for Cambuslang.

In the past 7 days, at 3 games I've seen 16 goals, 4 sent off, a missed penalty among plenty of other incidents and not spent £20.00 yet.

Your experience is why Junior football is such great value for money.

You swinging complimentary tickets Sgt???
Cambuslang not a bad team, beat us on Saturday. They've spent a few bob but you still need to play and prove it...and they have done so far.
The Roch are a hard working team but agree about the back 4. Industrial is a good definition!!

Gutted for our boys tonight, gave everything and played out their skin. Didn't let Buffs get into their stride and fought for everything. 2 young centre halfs couldn't deal with our strikers and we had a bit of joy off that but unfortunately we never took enough of our chances.

Well done to Buffs and good luck with the rest of the season.

I think the team bus picks up and drops them at Barlinnie.

The Bar L had a team that played in the 80s in a local league. I remember a BBC documentary about the team.

They only lasted one year as the rest of the league got fed up about them having 28 home games and none away.

Renfrew 2-2 gartcairn.
Renfrew win 6-5 on pens
Gutted but very proud of our boys tonight, truth is we weren't at our best and if Renfrew had taken their chances in the first half it would've been story ended, having said that we made two enforced changes in the first half, Heppy off to hospital after a high boot caught him in the face, knocked two of his teeth back which ripped half the inside of his lip away, his replacement Neil schonville lasted five minutes after taking a sore one on the knee,
Renfrew took the lead roundabout the twenty minute mark but just before half time mark Tait fired in the equaliser

Half time 1-1

Second half it was a different gartcairn team who hustled and pressed every ball, Renfrew player got sent off for deliberate hand ball on the line, 19 year old jal stepped up to take the pen only for the keeper to save, the young midfielder had the brains to follow it up and fire into the goals, Renfrew 1-2 gartcairn.
It was end to end with chances for both, roundabout the 78th minute a scuffle erupted after another Renfrew late tackle and Renfrew were reduced to nine men.
Gartcairn should've saw the game out but struggled to play against nine men, hats off to Renfrew who got the equaliser on 85 mins

Full time 2-2

Next came the penalties all five by both teams scored, sudden death , Renfrew stepped up scored the sixth only for gartcairn to see noddys penalty saved to see Renfrew thru to play forth or pollok in the semis.

Super proud of our guys and the truth is we could've played a lot better,
Few positives to take out the game
We held a team two divisions above us to sudden death penalties
We did this even after two enforced changes

Bad points
We lost
We've lost two players to what seems like long term injuries
We kept our discipline

We go on, gutted but proud and with the knowledge we can play a lot better.

All the best to Renfrew in the next round and thank you for the hospitality.

Alex
