Greatest Accies 11

Jimmy King was who the oldtimers used to rave about if you were around in the 70s, so we are all too young to remember when Accies had what was probably the greatest ever team that finished in the top four and made it to the Scottish Cup final in 1935.

Bobby Reid who was with the club as a physio later on must have been some player as well given the move to Brentford and playing for Scotland:

Bobby Shearer probably would rate consideration as well:

if anybody could remember seeing him play. Vaguely remember that his father was the groundman and used to cut the grass longer than most other clubs would for some reason I forget the details on?

Never saw this before, thanks for sharing. Have to say though. Anytime I see auld black and white footage of the game, it reminds me of this;

The commentary in the 1935 Cup final was more Harry Enfield than the actual Harry Enfield one!  It's outstanding. 'The titbit of the Scottish football season' indeed..

I remember Mark Fulton as a very dominant centre half in a struggling side. But he only played about twenty games before he left to join the police. No way would I pick him ahead of Willie Jamieson, Graham Mitchell, Brian Martin or Mark McLaughlin.
