RR #1
Disgraceful decision to sack him so soon. Palace actually dominated the match against Burnley yesterday. Hope they go down now.
Jim McLean's Ghost
De Boer got chased out of inter Milan as well last season. Perhaps he just isn't a good manager.
zidane's child
Hire a manager on the basis that a new football style/philosophy will be implemented, then sack him after 4 games. Mental behaviour from Palace. What a waste of money and time. Parish and the Board need to take the hit for this!
Jim McLean's Ghost
Maybe Director of Football Dougie Freedman will pull a Levein.
s_dog
This is one of the negatives of there being so much money in the EPL. What's £10-15m in costs to try a manager, then get shot of him after a handful of games and try someone 'safer' who'll hopefully keep them up therefore earning them £100m. gannonball
Going from Allardyce to De Boer was a recipe for disaster anyway. Polar opposites in terms footballing style for a club like Palace did not have the time to implement in the premier league.
Dunning1874
http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40131653 Quote "In the past we have had managers like Steve Coppell who have been at the club a long time and helped build the club," added Parish. "If we could get one of those relationships again that would be preferable." That went well...
nsr
I'm guessing De Boer tried to implement proper training and dieting regimes, and the Palace players didn't fancy that?
