I refer to them as "we" as I have followed and supported them for over 20 years. Pretty basic stuff.

No. You're not one of them. You can like them fine and be happy when they win, but your team is Scotland.

My team is Scotland in all other sports but in cricket it is and always has been England and Wales.

I am also happy if Scotland wins at cricket.

No. I don't know why you go on a sport forum if you don't get the basis of supporting your national team. It's not a choice. What are you doing here?

It is a choice. I chose to follow and support the England and Wales cricket team.

I happened to be taken to watch them play cricket in 1991 and was hooked.

I also go to Hampden to support Scotland.

I am here because I want to be.

What's your opinion on players born in a different country to Scotland playing for the National side ?

And is it okay for them to say "we" or "us" when referring to Scotland ,?

I'm beginning to think your wife could be the brighter one in your relationship.

You are correct to say I'm not English or Welsh but when I am at a match I feel like I am.

Fucking hell.

You're only meant to lick the boot, not eat the whole damn thing.

No issue.

They're talking about the team whether they're actually fans or not, it isn't the same.

You saying "we" when talking about English cricket makes a much sense to me as me saying "we" about the Brazilian football team.

But yoons always have had muddy thinking about nationality, I shouldn't be surprised.

Yoon ?

I take it you mean a Unionist which I am. I am perfectly happy supporting England and Wales cricket team as much as I am perfectly happy supporting Scotland football team.

I also want any of the other home nations to win whatever sport they are playing.

I am Scottish and British.

I would hope that they would be fans if they are playing for Scotland.

I would guess she is a lot brainier than you. She is actually a very clever woman.

She sounds amazing - I'd love to meet her.

Was she, like you, born and bred in Scotland?

Given she is as brainy as you suggest, what school did she go to?

If she supports England like this zoomer, I think I know the answer here...

She is amazing and is Scottish born and bred.

And she wouldn't love to meet a creep like you.
