I can't think of a single person from Oakley (or Valleyfield) that stayed beyond 4th year. Poverty is bound to be a major factor there, either directly or indirectly seeing as every other village of similar size had the opposite pattern.  F***ing Thatcher. 

So basically everyone in Oakley was a uneducated, anti-social tink.

Nothing like an unchallenged sweeping generalisation there. Slavering rasper.

No love for Thatcher though.

He's obviously big on that period when the Angles met the Saxons going by some of those names. I particularly like how Son #1got the middle name Alphege - probably because Ælfheah would have come across a bit wanky and got the kid a doing in school.

After that it looks like he gave up and figured they could just fend for themselves.
