Your sound card will have a Set-up folder or two

Try checking under

Control Panel > Sounds & Audio > Audio

Under the audio tab you may need to select the "Advanced" tab and have a look in therescreendump.jpg

Could be a virus ??? Have you done a scan ???

Not that many true copies of XP out there, most people have images of the PC they bought.

Why do want Audio anyway? Use your Hi-fi.

Have you tried this

1 Open Device Manager.

2 Double-click Sound, video and game controllers, right-click your sound device, and then click Properties.

3 Under Device usage, make sure that "USE this device (enable)" is selected.

4 Click OK.

Come on there must be someone out there who knows how to fix my problem :(

Do your USB ports work? If not, I think something on your motherboard might have blown. I had this problem a few months ago and had to get someone to come out to fix it.
