I didn't know until after she was arrested that she was "Captain" Bob Maxwells daughter. The boat he fell off was called the lady Ghislane he called it that as she was the only kid of his he actually liked. He was born in Ukraine (Then part of Czechoslovakia) as a Jew, Joined the resistance during the second world war, was tortured and escaped although his story on that changed a few times. Joined the French foreign legion, was evacuated at Dunkirk and was amalgamated in to the British army. He converted to Catholicism. and changed his name from Jan Hoch to Ivan Du Maurier to sound less Jewish during the war, Leslie Du Maurier to sound less French when he moved to the UK and then Ian Robert Maxell when he became an officer in the army. He joined the secret service and was involved in operations in Eastern Europe where it was rumoured he became a double agent for the KGB in post war Europe. He became a labour MP, owned newspapers and other media outlets. He returned to Judaism in later years and was buried with a state funeral in Israel prompting rumours that he worked for Mossad. He was also a massive crook that ruined the lives of anyone who worked for him.
