Looked a mile offside...*

Great equaliser

Didn't think much of the penalty decision: Halftime Linfield 2 Crusaders 1

* Maybe not...

That was a penalty, imo

What a save by the Crues 'keeper! I'm enjoying this.

Decent 1st half, if Forsythe pushes up in line, McKee is miles off, but still a controversial call. Never a pen though!😳. More goals in this!

Linfield score in the 4th minute of added time to win 3-2. Sore on Crusaders,

Good game to watch for the neutrals, draw probably a fair result, both pens a joke, just don’t like the current interpretation of handball in the box. Blues 4pts clear without playing that well over the last six games at least, but can’t knock how Healy’s side just manage to keep ticking over.
Surprise result in the Championship tonight, Welders losing 2-3 at home to Dundela! In form Dee Fearon with the late winner! Will look forward to the highlights!
Good luck on Sunday[mention=22050]Jacksgranda[/mention] in the LCF. [emoji6]

Would settle for a similar result to Rangers last visit down to Lurgan (4-0) back in September[emoji6], but let’s be honest, that ain’t happening this afternoon is it![emoji15]

In yesterday’s Championship games, Newry City recovered their three point lead (over Annagh United) at the top of the table with a 4-0 demolition of Ards at the Showgrounds.
Phil Donnelley put Newry in front on 33 then James Teelan with a smart finish just before the break made it 2-0. A John McGovern double in the second half, one from the spot, wrapped things up for the home side, another clean sheet for Stevie Maguire.
Chasing the leaders Annagh had to settle for a point at home to Loughgall in a goalless draw at the BMG and largely thanks to a Eoin Hughes penalty save from Nathaniel Ferris on 43.
Conversely plenty of goalmouth action to enjoy at Breda Park as Ballinamallard had the better share of six goals away at Knockbreda. Chris Kelly opened for the Ducks on 20 minutes, Jamie Ray protecting their lead with a fine save from the penalty spot on 32. Rich Clarke then made it 2-0 to the visitors also from the spot as Breda were reduced to 10 men following a second yellow for Liam McKenna. Reece Byrne (below) made it 3-0 at the start of the second half, before a sustained fightback from the home side. An Anthony Burns header and a Brendan Glackin strike pegging things back at 2-3. The Mallards weren’t to be denied however with Darragh Byrne slotting home their fourth deep into time added on.
Queens Uni just about managed to keep Institute in their sights in the battle of the bottom two at the Brandywell. A late Ciaran O’Hare strike on 83 sealing the points, the ‘Students’ also surviving a late disallowed goal in a tense 0-1 win.
Finally a long awaited win for Ballyclare to report as the Comrades ran out 3-1 winners at home to Dergview . Matt Buchanan nudged the visitors in front on 25 and held much of the play until the last twenty minutes. Ian Fletcher levelled on 67 minutes from the spot then a quick fire double from Caiolan Brennan (76) and Liam Hassin (79) earning the Reds their first league win since their shock win at Newry back in December. Former Carrick Rangers boss, Stephen Small takes up the Managerial reins at Dixon Park this week.

Carrick just three in front of Portadown now![emoji15] No urgency whatsoever across the park and another two really slack goals to concede yesterday. Can only see this going one way at the moment. Was hoping the two loan signings from Accie Stanley might have offered a wee boost (Tom Scully & Matt Carson) but they both look equally lost and have just become bogged down in the mire with the rest of this hapless bunch (including Stuart King![emoji15]).

Interesting set of figures; Income/expenditure for the League’s Premiership Clubs (Pre-lockdown).

Coleraine & Ballymena just about where they should be (by budget) but Cliftonville and Carrick punching above their weight.

Final score 4-3

Hugely disappointing for the Bannsiders, after being 2-0 up. Fair play to Cliftonville to get back into it, they certainly had their tails up but spoiled as a contest in extra time with the sending off. McLoughlin didn’t need to get involved but Curran’s theatrics to get him sent off were just dishonest. Left a sour taste to see such an entertaining *final concluded like that. Don’t agree with the pundits on that count, it’s a terrible advert for the game!😕 Joe Gormley still a handful for most defences and Paul O’Neil certainly made their contributions and perhaps the crucial difference for the Reds coming off the bench. Wonderful strike by Lowry for Coleraine’s 2nd too, was exciting stuff before the dismissal.

(*the second half at least, the first 45 probably best forgotten about.)

I would have preferred a boring 1-0 for Coleraine as opposed to the exciting goalfest.

Two games in the Championship last night. Newry failed to extend their lead at the top of the table, losing their game in hand (over 2nd placed Annagh United) away at Loughgall. A 16th minute penalty converted by Nathaniel Ferris enough to secure the points for the Armagh side.
Queens Uni moved to just 4 points behind Institute at the foot of the table with a 2-2 draw with Dergview at the Dub.
Leon Bonnes put the home side in front just five minutes in, Graham Crown equalising for the Black and White stripes on 15 minutes. Chris Middleton regained the lead for Queens from the spot just before half time, a lead they held right until the final minutes with the visitors grabbing an 89th minute equaliser. Perhaps harsh on the ‘Students’ in a game that ebbed and flowed but showing again they’ve still something left in the tank before this season’s final places are concluded.
