Wee-Bey
IF Play off time. Spoiler Pretty comfortable tbh, they scored 1st but then never had a shot on target after. Spoiler This was also a cruise. We are going up. Most of the side should be able to make the step up to tier 5 I think. Hopefully we'll get some youth upgrades now, we still don't have any.
Wee-Bey
MB Back to the hell on earth that is the Faroese 4th tier. A tactical tweak from an attacking 4-4-2 to a more balanced 4-2-3-1 this year as we were shipping too many goals. Horsed in the 1st game and we're still conceding too many, but it's better stuff all round from the boys. We even managed to keep a couple of clean sheets this year. Love to play a 12 game season over the space of 8 months, incredibly efficient league system. 2nd place and the 6 team playoff group. I've only just realised that the champions don't automatically go up either, the top 2 from the 3 groups make up the mini league. 1 promotion place for 19 teams. FML. Continuing the horror that is the scheduling on these god forsaken islands. 12 games in 8 months followed by 10 in 32 days. Normal Island.
Wee-Bey
MB Youth intakes are getting better, a couple should see the 1st team here. It's most definitely not a golden generation though, the guy has a judging player potential rating of about 4, so he's easily impressed. Wee-Bey
MB Managed to get another couple of upgrades after earning a wee bonus for making the play off group. It'll probably be a while until the facilities get boosted, but I'll settle for a yearly upgrade of these in the meantime.
Wee-Bey
National Team Obviously it might look like that absolute hounding of the failed statelet at Windsor Park might be the highlight of a tough group, but no, we managed to top it by beating Holland !! 2 and a half years in and that's now Austria, Scotland and Holland on my list of scalps. (N.Ireland are borderline diddies tbh) The campaign in full. An all round great campaign with a couple of incredible results. My first choice XI playing in a good solid system can give anyone a game I feel. Most are mid to late twenties, so there's another couple of campaigns for them. The drop off in quality after the first picks is pretty severe mind. There's absolutely no one to bring on to change a game either. We would have qualified for the Euros if we had managed to beat the Czechs once. At least we'll be staying in Group 3 of the Nations League.
Wee-Bey
MB Playoff group time, 10 games in 32 days. Whisper it, but we might be heading up. The boys are showing tremendous fight. Those last 3 games, all my goals came after the 83rd minute. 4 games to go. 2 wins should be enough, due to everyone cutting everyone else's throat.
Wee-Bey
MB Spoiler 1st defeat of the playoff round and the gap is just 2 points now. Spoiler That'll do it though. Spoiler Don't you know Spoiler PUMP IT UP Spoiler Spoiler are going up.
Wee-Bey
IF Not had an update from the Danish lower leagues for a while. Decent stuff, my coaches and scouts did say that most of our squad would be absolutely fine at this level and so it's proving. Managed to knock a Championship side out of the cup before that rollercoaster 4-6 defeat to Fredericia who are a Premiership outfit. 6 games left after the break. Only the champions go up here.
Wee-Bey
IF We were 6 games away from the title as we returned from the winter break. Spoiler Shree wins from shree meant that we were 6 points ahead with shree games remaining. Up next were our nearest challengers, our superior GD meant just a point would be enough.. Spoiler We were never in it tbf. Gap now 3. Spoiler The gap is now one after another poor performance. Already relegated Skjold on the final day. Spoiler Almost the mother of all bottle jobs there. 85th minute winner makes it 3 promotions on the trot.
Wee-Bey
MB I'm enjoying this save, but it's hard work running 3 teams at once, 4 if you include the MB under 21's. I pick the team but instant result the games. They won promotion to the top u21 division last season, and this year they won the cup. A great bunch of lads. The 1st team are in the 2.deild now after last years promotion. The standard isn't much better than the bottom tier imo. There's just so many 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th sides in this league system, I think it just drags the whole thing down to a shitty level. That and the number of games, when I complete this season, the 4th, I will have only played a total of 62 league games, roughly 15 a year on average. (the top 2 leagues play 27) So, it's taken a while for my team to gel, but with no signings allowed in the youth challenge and the young uns' being slowly introduced the result is we're now flying. Getting put out the Faroese cup was a bit disappointing. That defeat from TB II was only our 3rd in 39 league games stretching back to 2022. Amazing what momentum, morale and selection consistency can do, Undrid doing their best to try and keep up with us despite playing some extreme version of Leveinball judging by their goal difference. We're on the verge of back to back promotions.
Wee-Bey
IF Last time out we clinched a 3rd successive promotion to 3.Division. Into the big time now, this level is better than the cinch league 2, but not as good as the Hungarian 3rd division. We're basically at Clyde's level now. Media prediction was 12th. It's 22 games then a split and another 10 after that with 4 sides going down. We want to avoid that bottom 6 if we can, but finding it tough so far.
Wee-Bey
National team Obviously we weren't at Euro 24, so it was a relatively quiet international year. Kept our division C status easily. Nations league. Bosnia should win it comfortably and there should be no chance of relegation with a poor Estonia side there. Generally pleased with that a couple of nice performances against a top 50 side in Bosnia, but the results against Georgia have cost us. We've moved from 113th to 92nd in the world since the start of the game and are now 4th seeds for the Euro qualifiers. Tasty looking group here. 12 points from San Marino and Latvia and hopeful give the other 3 a scare.
Wee-Bey
MB Spoiler Spoiler Final table, a well deserved title and we'll be playing 1.deild football next year. Youth intake is a banger this year. 6 good enough to go straight into the 1st team squad and challenge for places. Everything's coming up Millhouse.
Wee-Bey
IF Into 3.Division now and we've still not had any sort of upgrades at all, no youth team yet and we might be at that awkward stage where we're still a amateur outfit but we probably need some semi pro or pros to really progress as this is a bit of a step up judging by results. Managed to sneak into the top 6 at the split thankfully as I don't really fancy the bottom 6 with 4 going down. No chance of finishing in the top 2 though, a summer of wheeling and dealing trying to hold onto my best players whilst trying to get the top amateur guys to join us awaits.
Wee-Bey
Not really done much on the individual players of this save so far, so here is 3 from each side that are worth a mention. MB First up is what I assume must be the only Guatemalan living on the Faroe Islands, Mariano Lopez he's 33 now and pretty much done and has been all but replaced by a 16 year old, but he's been with me since the start and the only non Faroese national in my time here, so he'll always hold a special place in my heart. Spoiler Samson Gaardlykke is up next, a rock solid centreback and let's face it, with a name like Samson he's undoubtedly a Nordic dreamboat with long flowing blond hair. A slightly better version of Thor if you will. Spoiler Finally, the man who has played the biggest part in the rise up the leagues. Stefan Niclasen. 41 goals in 64 games for the club is not to be sniffed at. Spoiler IF I've not got as much affinity for these guys as there's been a steady turnover of staff as we've moved up the leagues. Johan Jacobsen is the club captain. An attacking full back who chips in with a few goals. 33 now though and the club's record appearance holder. A club legend. Spoiler Jonathan Mikkelsen has been with us for 18 months, what he lacks in physical attributes he makes up with the mental side of the game. A consistent performer. Spoiler Another signing is Lukas Wagner. Strolling it at this level and attracting attention from pro sides in the division above. Spoiler
Wee-Bey
National Team Can't forget these boys. Poul Kallsberg is probably my most high profile and talented player, strutting his stuff for a mid table Bundesliga side. Doesn't always show it for the national team though. Spoiler The versatile and extremely consistent Hallur Hansson is one of the top performers in the Danish Superliga and the 1st name on the team sheet for his country. Spoiler Finally, Gilli Mortensen is half Scottish and has come through the youth system at Morton but is drawing attention from Motherwell and St Mirren. Sent off for a two footed lunge 5 minutes after coming on for his international debut, allowing his West of Scotland side to get the better of him. Wee-Bey
MB We're finally in a proper league this year with 27 games to be played in 1.deild. It's 1 up and 1 into a playoff, but technically we could finish 6th or 7th and be promoted as this league also has 5 B teams in it who cannot be promoted to the top tier, which means we only have to finish ahead of the other 4 senior sides to go up, or ahead of 3 for a playoff. A shitload of draws here, plenty late goals going in, but unbeaten after a 3rd of the season and took 2nd placed in the top tier KI to extra time in the cup. Also 07 Vestur are our big rivals and were relegated down here last year, so nice to win a derby against the wee team. Early days and it's pretty tight.
Wee-Bey
IF Season 4 comes to an end in Denmark and it was typical end of season stuff with a coupe of big wins chucked in. Quite a gap between us and the promotion places so an improvement required next year. Bank balance is looking a lot healthier these days, hopefully Santa will bring us an actual date youth intake for Christmas.
Wee-Bey
MB 2/3rds of the season done up here and we've hit some poor form including a 4-0 pumping from bitter rivals 07. Still all to play for as we're technically 2nd and in the play off place with a 4 point gap to '3rd'
