Were any ''regular'' Celtic B team missing yesterday as they had a Celtic IX at Camelon?

The team at Camelon was mainly their U18 side, while their B Team was along normal lines.

Comparing the Celtic B and Hearts B line-ups from the opening weekend they were very similar, age wise, i.e. between 16 and 19.

Celtic B - 4 x 2004s, 3 x 2005s, 3 x 2006, 1 x 2007

Hearts B - 5 x 2004, 2 x 2005s, 3 x 2006, 1 x 2007 (Hearts replaced a 2004 with a 2nd 2007 after 10 mins due to an injury)

Looking to do some serious groundhopping from Gretna to Cove Rangers and a good few stadiums in between.

Grounds I've not been in, not been inside in decades, grounds that have been completely redeveloped etc.

Started with Alloa last week.

Good man total respect.

Personally just focusing on Tier 6 down football.

So far been to; Blairmount, Newton Stewart. Castle Cary, Creetown. St.Mary's Kirkcudbright. Meadow Park, Threave. Islecroft, Dalbeattie.

Few weeks away for horse events. Then planning to get up to some South Lanarkshire games.

Doing a double shift at Petershill this afternoon.

Glasgow City v Durham

Latest score 0-1

Partick Thistle v Kilmarnock at 4pm.

Kinda like the GAA,  two games for the price of one in the same stadium.

Rangers did the morally correct thing on removing their B team. It's disgusting that others are still playing

Rangers took there baw and went hame cause they didn't get there own way in regards to the conference league. Hardly moral 🤣

In the absence of a reserve league the Lowlands League serves a good purpose giving regular competitive matches.  It's proven to be a good test for all.

Rangers withdrawing IMO was an indication of cashflow issues.

Part of the Conference deal was League funding.

The Rangers walked at the no coin vote.

There is a reserve league, and the Rangers manager said the Lowland League is useless for their players' development.

There was last season, if you we're willing to pretend the 9 game season really counts.

Nothing public about a 2023-24 season and what that will look like.

There never is at this point in the season, they await the notes of interest from clubs and until squads are more settled nobody will be expressing interest yet.
