PollokGang
10 minutes ago, leaguereformer said: With Clydebank being the biggest spenders in the league, how will they deal with the pressure. the biggest spenders always have a target on their back. Similar to Talbot who is every teams cup final. there is no excuses for Clydebank not to win now outspending every team in the league. Pressures on, how’s the bottle. There is no chance they are spending what Johnstone Burgh, St Cadocs, Gartcairn, Drumchapel or even Darvel are spending. I would say they’ll probably now be the highest spenders of the pre WoSFL juniors from 2019, the old guard. If it is being done sustainably and genuinely, unlike at least 3 of the above then good luck to them. Definitely a rivalry between us and I really hope Pollok beat them again, but at least Clydebank are committed to the pyramid.
Shanner
From what little I understand about Clydebank, they're set up as a fan-run endeavour and wherever the current dosh originated it isn't from a Gallesque dafty who wants to come in and act like the Big Jock Chewing the Fat character. I suppose the question is whether it's sustainable and sensible spending but that's their business.

Btw great news for RR on the ground, cant wait to visit it.

Look forward to getting back to the Premier and welcoming Bankies (and others) along, its a nice wee ground, and deserves top flight football

Mate, id take us playing on a red blaes pitch if it means we get the club back in Kirkintilloch! The quality of artificial pitches keeps improving and with the greatest respect and thanks, the pitch we have been playing on (grass) at Guys Meadow is at best "inconsistent", so im looking forward to the games where passes go where they are meant to and bounces are true.

Yep, great analogy from top flight pitches in one of Europes richest countries to grass roots (see what i did there) football in the West of Scotland, almost identical....

When there's a dafty suggesting critics of 3g are "luddites" is a perfectly reasonable response. 3g is and always has been a compromise to the quality of matches. Completely understandable that teams at our level go for it but let's desist from pretending it's somehow superior to grass.
Shanner
Also, I've just bored myself posting about pitch surfaces again for the umpteenth time so I shall depart the thread.
