Bands that were everywhere and then disappeared

The Indie alternative press especially the NME all over the new wave of British so called punk bands during 93-94. The future belonged to the likes of S.M.A.S.H. and These Animal Men as an alternative to the growing Brit-pop scene. 1994, then they were gone, never heard of again.

To me like the two mentioned just looked like a marketing concept.
