StewartyMac
If it was, they wouldnt have scored in the last minute to make it 2-2. Both teams went at it for the full 90 mins, great game.
Teamwork Expresso
Totally agree but it wont stop the Italians complaining about it - i watched the Sweden game but towards the end i was flicking between both - 5 minutes added time in the Italian game seemed a bit strong

Teamwork Expresso
As i said - i mainly watched the Sweden game - i just thought the ref was giving the Italians every chance - but what i saw of the Bulgarians, fair play to them they didnt lie down

miketheheadlesschicken
The Italians were just as bad. Pirlo had one awful dive where his screaming got one Bulgarian booked and Cassano was rolling about until he realised he wasn't getting a penalty and got back up again. I've not seen as much playacting, by both teams, in a game for a long time.
centralparker
What a load of crap the commentators talked when they said a 2-2 draw between Sweden and Denmark would put the Italians in a helpless position. Absolute tripe! A 4-1 win would have taken the boys in blue into the quarter finals. Whoever started this stupid theory should be whacked over the head with a frying pan and sent back to elementary arithmetic classes. So no, it wasn't a fuckin fix. So that's why Sweden got a dodgy goal in the last few minutes then . The Danish 'keeper couldn't have palmed it any better to the Sweden boy. StewartyMac
So that's why Sweden got a dodgy goal in the last few minutes then . The Danish 'keeper couldn't have palmed it any better to the Sweden boy. Was he Myles in disguise Did he have eyes in the back of his head?? Why did the Danish players push on for a 3rd goal at 2-1? The Swedish keeper made a few good saves to keep it 2-1. So, Sorensen makes a bit of a gaff at the end. If all goalkeeping mistakes were the result of 'fixing', David james would be the most corrupt keeper in the world! It wasn't really a dodgy goal anyway, the Swedish player still had to score past 2 Danish defenders. I'm sure he had time to think about the implications. Had he not scored, Sweden were out. Was he gonna miss that chance and put his country out to avoid any finger pointing by other nations?? I think not. And anyway, the way the Italy game worked out, 1-1 would have got both Denmark and Sweden through last night.
Guest sons1872
No way was it a fix. Both teams went for it right from the start. A mean look at the challenges that were flying in from both teams it was never a fix. Even if it was good because the Italians are boring to watch. bluetooner
I would say it was definitely a fix.......... i analysed every second of the game,.... and yes they dived in and went for it............... but still got a 2-2 result and played for it.................. ok i lied but thought id stir things up a bit. Guest spr
A total, utter, dead brilliant fix. Get it right up the tallies, did you clock their faces at the end? What a picture. Lovin' it.
AyrshireTon
The sight of the Italians celebrating going 2-1 up and immediatley being told the news by the coach was a picture. AT
Guest spr
What a delicious irony that the most corrupt, cynical, boring (after England, that is) fitba nation should lose out in this way.
Hebridean
According to the The Racing post on Sunday, the first bookies to price up the correct score market for the game were Skybet who opened 18/1 on 2-2. Due to the size of bets they were taking they had to cut that to 10/1 and then 5/1 within 24 hours. Ladbokes and Hills delayed opening their books and then limited bets on 2-2 to £5 when they did. Anyone who knows anything about betting knows that 5/1 is silly odds on any correct score - never mind a 2-2 draw which is usually priced up between 18's and 33's. Not a fix? Maybe not in the purest sense but a fix none the less.
Guest Bhoys67
Bye Bye Italia, what a great way to get rid of one of the most boring and dirty teams in football. and now they claim is was fixed Sore losers thats what the italians have been for quite some time, they stunk of the match vs Bulgaria, the Bulgarians lack of playing defence cost them that match after going one up, they should have brought all 11 players back and when ever they got the ball just punt it down the field or into the crowd.
