Neilly
Taking a half day to watch this with a few berge really looking forward to it. Whitlock is there for the taking I think if he is still under the weather and he would have been on stage longer than he would have liked last night. Might have a look at Klaasen on the handicap.
The Naitch
Just found out that Dave Gorman and James Richardson will be presenting Bravo's live coverage of the European Championships at the end of the month. That could be an, erm, interesting combo.
DomDom
I'm a fan of James Richardson. As for this match, I don't know what it's the best of, so I'm just gonna predict Wade. Klaasen to take the other one.
ayrmad
WADE 13v16 JONES STOMPE 9V16 BARNEY KLASSEN 16V13 WHITLOCK PAINTER 7V16 TAYLOR Think there could be 1 or 2 shocks just not sure which ones, Taylor could even go today as he's not been at his best this week, although I'm hoping he turns up tonight. The Naitch
Best of 31 legs at this stage, Dom. Going for Wade and Klaasen to make it through to the last four.
ayrmad
This match has the feeling of a rout for Wade, hopefully not.
F_T_Y
Lol at wade asking if he was really on d17.The counting of the dutch guys especially klaasen puts the english to shame.
DomDom
Wade's counting has always been a bit worse than most though. Most players no matter where they're from know what they are supposed to be going for.

Keeping track of the score has never been Wade's strong point. He'll double/triple check what's remaning on a regular basis up there. Bristow should start charging for coaching sessions so the younger players can become better counters.
The Naitch
Good stuff from Jones ... battled back from 5-2 to even things up at 5-5.
ayrmad
Jones turning it on now, This could be a cracker. Edited July 23, 2010 by ayrmad
DomDom
I think all you need to be a good counter is consistantly playing darts and scoring it. Not being a tool helps.

I don't think you can coach that into them for this level, bad counters have always been bad counters, not many worse than Bobby George on his day, it just breaks up their momentum, if you're practising 8 hours a day and your counting's hesitant then it will always be hesitant IMHO.

Fair point. Jones is continuing to play well here ... we'll see if he's able to keep it up over the longer distance.
The Naitch
Wade just starting to push on .. he's 10-6 up.
The Naitch
14-11 in Wade's favour now. He should see it out from here.
The Naitch
Jones made a good account of himself, as he's done all week, but went down 16-12 to Wade.
F_T_Y
Sky should have a special klaasen cam when he is on a checkout, the camera zoomed in on 16 when he was going for fat 20.
The Naitch
I'm guessing that it's Deller doing the spotting for this match .. he's hopeless at the best of times and is struggling to keep up with Klaasen.
The Naitch
Whitlock 6-4 up on Klaasen .. it's been a very decent game so far.
