  1. I think you were actually the only member of your family not spewing at the time. The point stands though. You had plenty to say about the game, but Dykes didn't get a single mention. We see it a lot with Dykes. Admittedly, Skyline Drifter was always a fan, but in most cases he wasn't that highly regarded when with us. It's only since he's gone onto better things, that we get told how important a Queens player he was.
  2. The funny thing is that despite you posting very extensively in the match thread at the time, you didn't once mention anything Dykes offered on the night. It's almost as if you're just re-assessing what he did then, due to the direction his career subsequently took.
  3. Nope, but I am refusing to totally rewrite what he contributed for Queens on the back of it.
  4. I agree with your point. It would be interesting to see how the gate receipts compared across the two matches though. I don't think income is the only possible consideration when it comes to crowds, but it's obviously a major one.
  5. Not yet. We're not sure if he stoops low enough to find sides like ours.
  6. Did Dykes actually do much against Raith Rovers over the piece? A decent performance in the play-off final first leg, I suppose. He still missed a sitter that would have totally put the tie out of reach though. Of course we were only in the play-offs at all due to his persistent failure in front of goal.
  7. I think that looks tremendous. The best thing a club has done with their ground.
  8. Now I know that other games will have attracted more interest yesterday, but for me, the Game of the Day was Stirling v Annan - a final game head to head which determined who finished 9th and went into the relegation play-off. Unless I'm missing something, the only mention of it on the BBC site apart from in the scores is this: "Elsewhere in the third tier, Stirling Albion were held to a 1-1 draw by Annan Athletic and drop into the League 1 play-offs on goal difference behind Saturday's visitors." In other news, we sacked Marvin Bartley, a fairly high profile figure, about 14 hours ago. As far as I can tell, it's not mentioned anywhere.
  9. Still ambiguous. He isn't ambitious, or appointing him would not be ambitious?
  10. Yes, the competition has not been fierce. I'm just looking forward to his self serving appearance on 'Sacked in the Morning'.
  11. I'll miss his Saturday evening interviews with Sandra. I quite enjoyed getting wound up by them.
