  1. The current twitter exchange that Tom English absolutely sums up the problem. Very much - we are right, you are wrong and can’t see any kind of problem. I actually thought he might have been one able to recognise the lack of decent football online across the leagues now. I turned off yesterday as soon as I heard we only had the option of live commentary.
  2. Is the player of the year actually tonight? Quite impressive that we haven’t even bothered to update winners this year. Absolutely nothing other than “full time whistle sounds” after the game tonight either. I mean you might at least mention we have avoided the playoff, and start to build some kind of theme towards next season… It really is utterly fucking bizarre by this point.
  3. I imagine it’s so we have more of an out ball up there, as Willoughby isn’t remotely a focal point style of striker.
  4. One thing I took from the Celtic roaster on the plane, was the sheer amount of Rangers fans responding saying they didn’t think they would be able to hold themselves back if they were there and the guy was terrifying their kids. Because what absolutely won’t terrify your kids is to stop looking after them and batter the f**k out of someone in front of them - so fucking hard to comprehend the idiocy in that mentality.
  5. Yeah, from speaking to others it seems it wasn’t an option for those renewing. Utterly bizarre.
  6. Bit weird it’s not advertised… I assumed I had missed a specific social media post or something.
  7. Fair point about McLean - I hadn’t even considered him, which is strange on the face of it as he always was an attacking midfielder but doesn’t seem to play in that role for his club. And as you say, Clarke has used him there.
  8. Yeah, I do get that too - particularly given he scored two yesterday. Sixty minutes and off potentially!
  9. You said he didn’t leave Celtic because he wasn’t good enough, I said he did - that was all. I imagine he would be around that number of Scotland attacking midfielders - McGinn, McTominay, Christie, Armstrong, Ferguson, Fraser, Cairney and then either Turnbull or Gauld.
  10. I don’t think so.. We currently only have three fit attacking midfielders that are regularly in the squad. I think all three will start against Germany so that leaves you with two spaces. Ryan Fraser should be one - but Brown hasn’t played since February and doesn’t look likely to play again this season. He isn’t in the Hickey position of being picked regardless of fitness. Jack hasn’t been seen since February either, no idea when he is due to return but he has barely managed to play this season. We all take the piss with the Ryan Gauld and club bias stuff, but I genuinely think there might be an actual debate now…
  11. Possibly - but just seems sensible to give your 36 year old striker a bit of a break ten days before playoffs start, particularly as he is their only fit senior striker. I would still expect him to play some part anyway. I’m obviously being a bit hopeful too.
  12. Tear stained Dundee United letters to the SPFL asking why they don’t have the trophy yet, they must just not be clever enough to understand either.
  13. Three of his seven goals were penalties, and all came against sides in the bottom half - bar St Mirren. Ultimately he wasn’t good enough, as the guys in front of him are far better than he is - being why he has ended up at a mid table championship club. Hatate was also injured for large periods of time and several others played in front of him too.
  14. I don’t think it’s a myth, it might be exaggerated but he definitely has an issue in terms of his athleticism - particularly at higher levels. He was also given a decent chance at the start of this season, and just never took his opportunity. I don’t recall Celtic fans not liking him because of that tbh, in fact I think most wanted him in the team quicker when Lennon was manager.
