  1. Just proves some football fans base everything on reputation rather than actually watching. Long balls up to short attackers against tall defenders is obviously a terrible idea. The suggestion that the Livi team was full of giants while County had a team of garden gnomes is just factually incorrect - pretty sure the average height of both starting XIs works out more or less the exact same.
  2. Funnily enough my most harrowing memory of his time with us was away to Dunfermline. Andy McNeil passing it out to a defender (seem to remember Jesus Garcia Tena in particular having a howler), couple passes between them and then just hoofing it. Dunfermline caught on pretty quick and just had our defenders marked at goal kicks, Hughes still wouldn't let McNeil play it long and we ended up losing 4-0.
  3. Threw up in my mouth a bit County to win by as many as they fancy
  4. The announcement of his signing on the OS (Link) - "Michael joins the club on a 1-year-deal and will wear the number 21 shirt for the 2023/24 campaign." They've either got it wrong when announcing his signing, or he's signed an extension that no-one's bothered talking about.
  5. www.eticketing.co.uk/livingstonfc/EDP/Event/Index/103 You need an account but that link works fine for me to get away tickets. As others have said though there'll be a wee window open from 1:30pm if you still haven't managed to get it sorted.
  6. I don't think that's too outrageous, depending on the 12 or 13 he means. Shamal George Shaun Donnellan Jamie Brandon Miles Welch-Hayes David Carson Scott Pittman Stephen Kelly Mo Sangare Samson Lawal Steven Bradley Tete Yengi That's 11 there who are under contract, pending any relegation clauses, and I think that's a half decent starting point for next season. Jack Hamilton has done well when he's stepped in and Montano might regain functioning legs at some point. Not going to entertain the idea of Mackay choosing to join us in the Championship when I'm sure he'll have offers to play in the top flight. There's 12 or 13 (depending on Montano's fitness) who I'd be fine with us keeping, though I'm almost certain he'll keep Guthrie and probably Nottingham and Devlin too. Going to be a fun summer anyway.
  7. Ledingham made some really good tackles but was getting turned far too easily at times and was also just as likely to slice a clearance or pass it straight to a Dunfermline player - but that last one could be said for everyone in a Livi shirt last night. Definitely tempered the expectation of him being some wonderkid, but I'd still rather see him finish the season in the first team ahead of Nottingham/Devlin. I was actually most impressed with Rudi Bryce, thought he got up and down the wing well and looked like he could develop into a decent winger/wing back. For me our biggest problem was how easily we were being dispossessed, just weren't winning the physical battles and it just generally looked like the Dunfermline players had a couple extra years of proper coaching behind them; they were much better at making space and finding a pass, whereas I felt our lot were more likely to panic and punt the ball to no one. Special mention to Rhappozzoh, came off the bench and looked like the second coming of Messi for a bit before playing a pass from the halfway line that almost went out for a corner and then fly-kicking someone. It's like Dolly Menga (for his unpredictability) and Cece Pepe (for his ability to toe poke simple passes all over the place) were used for some lab experiment, looking forward to seeing how he gets on.
  8. What version of the handball rule is it not a foul to forcefully change the speed and direction of the ball, with your hand going towards the ball?
  9. He's punched the ball away, why is there any debate on whether or not its a foul clear as day. Only question is whether or not its in the box
  10. Yeah, I was more addressing whether or not it would be more understandable if it was just a graphic designer though.
  11. Even a graphic designer should be wondering why the logo for (The) Spartans says 'Stenhousemuir' at the top of it though. I actually think if they were specifically a designer of things that it would be even worse that it's wrong.
  12. I think he's been okay, but no better than that. I still find myself getting wound up when I think about Martindale's subs at St Johnstone, putting Sangare (a midfielder) on at left back and a full back (Brandon) on at centre mid, us conceding very soon after that is probably the perfect summary of this season. Unfortunately I think Brandon at CM is Martindale's latest galaxy brain move that he'll stick with for longer than necessary. We'll have Brandon at centre mid while Nottingham and Devlin stink the place out in defence.
  13. Clearly just preparing for Killie running up a cricket score.
  14. How many goals would we need to go ahead by to actually win? Wouldn't be too surprised if there were plenty goals in this, we've completely packed in the defending (never started in the first place) and the last couple months we've actually started games relatively positively - we just haven't been very successful with it. Honestly at this point I just want us to give some of the kids and reserves a run out, even though they're most likely League 2 standard at absolute best. We'll probably draw this just to prolong Martindale's shite "still in the fight" patter.
  15. Avoiding the rest of the binfire that this thread is now, the answer to this part is unfortunately that's just how the media report on (alleged) violence against women. Any sportsperson accused of something is referred to in the media by their achievements; even in countries where anonymity for the defendant is provided the coverage will use words like "star" or refer to them being "internationalists" etc
