  1. Does him and Stevens not play on the wings? If McCann and Yeats do their jobs we’d be fine. Both Stevens and Wales were subbed at HT yesterday so I see them only playing a half again next Saturday.
  2. MacIver did play at CB for Alloa in the playoffs last year. Big call but I think it will be the same back for that finished yesterday.
  3. Yes I spoke to him mid week and he thought he would have been recalled after Coll was red carded. Surely should be recalled for Saturday at least for cover.
  4. That ref was abysmal which was summed up with McGlynn getting booked since he never really gets involved with referees. Thought the Bisland was one soft but would need to see it back. No idea what the second penalty was given for but the players were adamant it wasn’t a penalty. They were playing for fouls all day so they could load our box. Bisland had a poor game IMO which was summed up by the third goal he should have cleared. That being said, we had more than enough chances to win three games, with Morrison being particularly off it.
  5. I was having a think watching the Elliot’s played of the year video on the Facebook page- but I’d argue that Stephen McGinn has been our most important signing in many a year. Not just for his playing efforts last year but in terms of his influence on the dressing room. Something we haven’t had since the McCracken/Kerr/Miller days etc. I really don’t think we can underestimate how big a help he has been this year in winning us the title, and that’s been from the changing room rather than the pitch. I wouldn’t mind keeping him in a player / coaching role (more so coach) he’s had that big an influence on us.
  6. Hopefully that’s the back of the heritage kit now. Last three performances in it have been average at best - Yesterday, Edinburgh away and Formartine in the cup.
  7. It does worry me that we’ll only have Mackie and Henderson for the rest of the season, especially up against Tommy Goss next week and an Annan team giving everything to avoid the play offs. One injury and we’ll have one available CB within a pairing who haven’t played much at CB this season.
  8. I don’t think that’s a red, I think it’s a yellow. He wins the ball clearly and then the boy goes into him. Do we just not want Donaldson to challenge? If he takes the man first then it’s a clear red. Didn’t even catch the boy in the face. Anyway, that was McCann’s worst game for us. Terrible goal, kept getting done with a long ball and terrible passes constantly but he’s allowed one bad game. Nesbitt was clear man of the match and the ref was horrendous.
  9. I’m not saying we wouldn’t have won the league without him, but it would be a lot more tighter without him. As a coach myself, I can see why McGlynn loves him as he brings so much to the team. Your average football fan won’t notice that work and impact he has without the ball, they’ll just look at the goal tally which is fine I’m not slating them but I bet if you ask Nesbitt, Miller, Ross and Morrison they’d all admit they wouldn’t have the amount of goals they do without MacIver.
  10. Yes it’s voted for by the rest of the league.
  11. You took the words out of my mouth. An absolutely outstanding goal and if Man City had done that against a Luton or what have you, we’d never hear the end of it. Some header too by big Ross.
  12. That was as easy as we’ll get. It was like playing a bang average mid table team never mind our nearest challenger. As others have said, Nesbitt was a 10/10. Totally unplayable and should have been man of the match. They are utter dog meat Imagine replacing Dylan Tait with Ben Williamson
