All I'm saying is it isnt that bad a thing you've gone down.you can always go back up if you deserve it.

The lowland league could look like this in a handful of years.

    Berwick

    E Stirling

    Cowdenbeath

    Albion Rovers

    Stenhousemuir

    Boness

    Dalbeattie star

    Gala F

    Cumbernauld

    Broomhill

    Tranent

    Penicuik

    Linlithgow

    Auchinleck T

    Darvel

    Pollok.

With the like of Spartans and East kilbride having won their way to the top leagues.

You think Spartans and EK will get up ahead of the clubs you have listed?

  2. Anyone know if City are planning to continue with the Friday night gig after this season?

As a Stranraer fan based in Edinburgh it doesn’t impact me, but for anyone coming to an away game from the likes of Stranraer, Elgin or Forfar it’s just a bloody nuisance.

From a City fans’ POV has it had a positive impact, e.g. on attendances?

This could sadly be our last fight for survival and today's result and performance gives me no confidence we will win the playoffs we can't even create chances and score against a team being Stranraer who has only won four more games than us

And our four extra wins have all come against you. Been our ability to win those four games that has kept us clear of the danger zone. You’re right about creating chances as Liam Buchanan’s goal in the first meeting was your only goal against us. We have struggled to turn possession into goals all season - looks from this end as if that has plagued you guys even more.

  4. No failures today. Looked like being a tricky afternoon when Tam Orr scored so early, but those 2 goals in a minute to make it 3-1 completely changed the game. And Stenny would have planned to come flying out of the traps after the interval but the penalty in the first minute of the second half put the tin lid on the game. So many of our players who weren’t scorers today will have gone under the radar - the likes of Craig Ross, Sam Ellis and Dean Hawkshaw. But we used an incredible 17 players today and all got pass marks. Late subs Joe Moore and Ross Irving were both unlucky not to score!

  5. Really good performance yesterday given the numbers we had missing. As has been said above we still had a team packed with experience, but we did have 3 players on the pitch making their debuts and you wouldn’t have known that from watching. From our POV we did what we had failed to do in our previous 2 games and actually competed for the ball, particularly in midfield. Good to see a battling display, ironically at a ground where we rarely get a result.

  6. Said at the time that the referee might be made to feel silly for his repeated habit of leaving players lying on the deck for long spells, having decided that there was no free-kick to award.

He did that with Darryl Duffy late in the game, didn’t check on him - turns out the player has 3 dislocated bones following an awkward fall.

  7. Our first home league game of the season sees Annan visit.

Still too early to read much into the first batch of league results. But in the same way that it was important to get something from our first away game, we need to be looking to start off with a home win.

Still need to add depth to our squad before too much longer, but happy with the players we have in so far. Same starting eleven as last week I’d think.

  8. I’m not sure there will be runaway leaders or runaway trapdoor troublers this season.

I expect Kelty to be there or thereabouts, given their investment, and would have thought that Stirling Albion and Elgin will be top end too.

I’m hoping we will be troubling the top end, and we’ve looked decent, if a slight bit toothless, so far. But there have been so many changes at both Stranraer and Stenny that I’m not sure where either will finish.

Don’t know enough about Forfar, would think Albion Rovers have improved slightly, Edinburgh City regressed slightly, and fear for Cowden, but more particularly Annan.

  9. In short, which clubs will be letting away fans in and which won’t?

Given the numbers who watch the game at League 2 level it will be disappointing if clubs don’t make an effort to set aside an area for a small group of visitors.

Edited to add - who have let away fans in so far? (We haven’t)

  10. First and foremost, hope the players are alright obviously.
If it's been "multiple" positives I don't see how we can possibly have a team for Tuesday night either; we only have 17 players so assuming others need to isolate as clpse contacts as well, if there are even as many as three positive we're surely not getting 11 players together.

That was what I was wondering when I saw ‘multiple’. What happens next - do they just test all the other players again on Tuesday while the ones who were positive today are ruled out anyway for isolation?
  11. For a while in the early 1800’s there was an effort to effectively re brand Scotland as “north Britain” faded away in the latter half of that century , however there is still the north British hotel on Princes street as a reminder to us all

The hotel was renamed in the 80s or 90s - now the Balmoral which also has colonial overtones!
