  1. The chances of me making enough matches next season to justify the season ticket are slim. I'm going to renew my season ticket not because of what's happened over the last year or so (I'm still not especially happy about the treatment of Grant Murray) but because of the strong stance the club took in the summer of 2012 - I promised then that the club deserved my support and nothing has happened since to chance my mind.
  2. Great day. I'm not, personally, that bothered whether prosecutions follow, but it's good to have (still further) confirmation of the causes of the disaster. Not that everyone will accept it. So many reports and inquests have by now busted the myth that this was caused by drunk or ticketless fans, and yet I see there are still people on the thread repeating it.
  3. He might be thinking of the time he left someone lose him at the back post in the first half. Cuthbert had a go at him for that, I think.
  4. That was last year, they've since signed a revised deal which gives them the rights to the play-offs. (Which is not to say that they're committed to showing them.) http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/spfl-strike-new-tv-deal-6419830
  5. Yeah I reckon so. Going back a few years, John Baird scored a couple of goals against us for Airdrie after he'd already signed a PCA with us (although I don't think that had yet been made public). We weren't yet safe from relegation at the time.
  6. I'd play him against Falkirk in the league game first and see how he handles it.
  7. There's only one more opportunity left to pick up a booking. So only McCord would have the option, and he's hardly playing anyway.
  8. Yes, it was. That was our only win in the last eight games, and followed three straight defeats when we'd only needed that one more win to stagger over the finishing line.
  9. A few seasons back I saw Arbroath beat East Stirlingshire, think it was 5-1, totally routine and they walked it. Jamie Bishop scored the fifth, whipped off his shirt and ran the full length of the pitch whirling it above his head. Even the ref was having a laugh about it as he booked him. Turned out he was in just the same boat, one booking away from suspension and wanted to get it out the way before the play-offs. So if we've got anyone needing to do it this Saturday, I hope they can pull it off with the same style.
  10. what everyone else said - be nice to keep momentum through the next couple of games and then rest players just for Livi. On the other hand I'd be a bit reluctant to play Falkirk with the same team we'd be playing if we were to meet them again ten days later, but there's enough options now to be able to rotate the forward line a bit without it being a second string. I'd leave Craigen in for that game though, be interesting to see how he handles it.
  11. Laidlaw is young yet, certainly younger than McGurn was when he really came onto his game. But greenied just for apostrophising 'keeper.
  12. McGurn deserves a better end to his Raith career than he's going to get.
  13. "as much as we can", fine. But not at the risk of offering more than we can. The club is more important.
  14. Anderson and McCord have been conspicuous by their absence in all the contract rumours, and Anderson hasn't been getting a start even though McKinnon has been rotating the front line quite a bit. Presumably both players will be away. Be sorry to see Anderson go, if so.
  15. I didn't take it as being remotely serious criticism anyway, in case that wasn't clear.
  16. I already have a season ticket. Not only that, but because it's in the main stand and I've declined the option of an alternate seat in the South Stand, they can re-sell my ticket and make money out of it twice.
