But Bowie has been watched (at least once) by the SFA this season..
I'm sure it was stated that Billy Stark was at Starks presumably for just that purpose when he took in the 0-0 midweek draw at home with Forfar in November, Bowie had poor game, got crocked and limped off after 61 mins.
The next 3 U19 fixtures are in March, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the squad for those (France & Russia at home and away to Georgia).

I’d chuck MacLean in from the start, give him an hour, and then Baird in for the winner...
What? You don't think MacLean will have us out of sight by then?

That's what a £10k loan fee will do for you
Could be worse , they could be paying a part time player £52,000 a year for the next 3 years, better hope DW keeps you up.

I thought it was the case he wouldn't play on plastic pitches or was it the case he just didn't at St.Johnstone?
I did too but his stat's show he played at Bayview, Hamilton and Livvi already this season so I'm guessing that's no longer the case.

Well he won't at the Falkirk stadium given he can't/won't play on plastic pitches.
Or Starks, Links Park, Station Park, Broadwood, Bayview or The Excelcior.
Do you honestly think he's only coming for a kick about at Stranraer, Dumbarton and Peterhead?

It took a lot for a player to look dreadful against our muck last season but Mansell managed it with flying colours. I’d be astonished if McGlynn took a punt here.
Me too but cant rule it out.
It's also worth bearing in mind we have previous for taking a shit striker from Partick and making him prolific, can lightning strike twice though?

FFS get your fans rep pal telt, full story or f**k all
No point he's not the source on this one so I can't ask him.
I tried for more detail with the person who told me but they were adamant and looked to only have half the story too, TBH it could be complete BS but we'll know if it was or not tomorrow.

Don't know who though!

Was never a fan of Bowie.
That last album was fucking shit.
True but it still outsold Telstar's last effort by 750,000 sales.

If Braveheart is your basis for Scot's history no wonder you believe Dumbarton is the centre of the universe [emoji6]

So you are clearly wrong and everything else you said is pish too!Weird thing to get aggro over. It was just a wee joke.
But we do have a monument dedicated to it in our local park, if that information is incorrect, I quite frankly could not give a toss.
Was it not the keeper or Dumbarton castle that betrayed Sir William Wallace too. Shower of shite the lot of ye's [emoji23]0 -
Only in your mind.Dumbarton > Fife0 -
Your mob tried already that last January, both Kieron and his Grandad telt ye's to bolt! [emoji23]Lads, let's cut to the chase - we'll steal him in the summer. It's just the way it is, baby...…...4 -
The further distant the better where that's concerned I'd say.Peter Houston would be fucking miles better than Barry Smith IMO.
From a distance it might look like we're managed by Right Said Fred mind you.
Anyone of the opinion Smith can't have that big a negative effect on a side even as an assistant clearly hasn't been paying enough attention.0 -

I heard from a good source last night that there was a Fulham scout in attendance on Saturday.
Since October there I reckon there have been over 20 different clubs have watched him, I've heard the names of at least: 8 SPL, 2 Championship, 4 English L1, 7 English championship and 2 EPL so far.
A former director told me he sits in the main stand and knew most of the Scottish scouts at SP but a few others have been reported by folks simply hearing scouts asking for their ticket at the office window. Opposition fans have mentioned scouts at away games which has also been reported elsewhere, of course they may not have been there to scout Ziggy, it could e.g. have been an East Fife/Forfar starlet.

If it's the right deal then he will be allowed to go but the club want him back on loan for this season and if possible the next too. His agent is an experienced guy who has a figure in mind and Raith want at least that. If the asking price and add-ons are met then it'll happen but obviously only if also agreeable to the Bowies as well. I seriously doubt Ziggy will go for less than the club want, yes we are cash strapped but unlike previous times we are not desperate. Lots of if and buts as to whether his value will go up in the short term, if he's called up to the u19 in March, if he does well, if he Scores well between now and May then with extra exposure his value will increase, then again even if it doesn't go as well it'll still be ok. By the summer he will be an outstanding prospect who still isn't 18 years old.

There doesn't appear to be a huge amount of love in the room for Mr Smith, but maybe folks should chill. I've just looked over his 19-page CV and he doesn't seem to hang around very long wherever he goes. The changing of the clock is already looking like a bit of a stretch.
I'd have been delighted if he'd stayed at East Fife 15 months longer.

Aye i get that but Bowie I never going to cost that much.
I know Tony watt didn't turn out to be too much but he still only cost 80k when celtic bought him.
Would love to be proven wrong as gives everyone hope that Scottish teams can start charging bigger fees for our players, but can't see it unfortunatelyPrepare to have your hope restored.

Baz might make a bit of history here.
If Sons go down with Forfar and Brechin drop out the league he may well have a hand in an unparalleled hat-trick.

Barry Smith to Dumbarton
How can I break this to all you Sons fans gently............you're fucked!

That was some season as I recall, a real torrid end to the season which saw us eventually safe and Airdrie relegated by Brechin in the play offs, my memory is not of the Scottish Cup semi-final but of the exhausting 10 games we were forced to play during April.
April 3rd we lost 4-3 at Inverness, April 7th won 2-0 at Ayr (yes we actually won there!), April 11th lost 2-0 To Dundee Utd at Hampden, April 14th lost 3-0 away to Airdrie, April 17th lost 3-0 at QotS, April 19th drew 0-0 at Firhill, April 21st beat Dundee 1-0 at Starks, April 24th lost 2-0 at Dundee, April 26th lost 1-0 at home to Airdrie, April 28th drew 0-0 with Qots at home.
In the last 11 days Raith had to play 5 games.
Last game of the season was on May 1st when Johnny Russell signed off his loan deal with that trick in the 4-1 defeat of Ross Co.
