  1. I may have missed this elsewhere, but does anyone know why the Reserve Cup Final v Hearts is a home game for them?
  2. That is excellent - the one I was remembering was from about the middle of the Govan Stand. but that will do nicely.
  3. Can't seem to find it, but there was an amusing video taken from the Govan Stand of the Ainsworth goal that I used to enjoy. The video of McCall chasing after the ball still makes me smile.
  4. Was that the St Mirren game where the bold DT23 sent Jim Goodwin for the Motherwell Times?
  5. Clarke tomorrow night before he leaves for Parkhead? The other lot have already got the banners for him so would make sense.
  6. There is one mental old boy near me who's given him a bit of stick (probably got his name wrong as well). He was walking down the stairs moaning about Turnbull after the Ross County game and Chris Cadden was walking alongside him basically shaking his head and laughing at the fella. Some absolute belters in that section behind the dug outs.
  7. Now available - £45 https://aztecretro.com/products/motherwell-1986-87-home-shirt
  8. Yeah that’s right - bizarre excuse but I was mis remembering the end of the season before due to us starting to wear the following year’s Pony kit in the midweek home game vs Rangers.
  9. I think part of the magic of that mid 90s side was the transformation of them under McLean who took them from propping up the table not that long after the cup win to playing a wonderful, cultured brand of football. Signing Tommy Coyne and then later Mio and Lambert were pivotal moments on that journey. McLeish perhaps made them even more fluent in his first season (game at Ibrox I linked above would support that).
  10. Be tempted to throw in season one of McLeish to the mix when he took Tommy's core team to second, before he really starting signing folk and it all going TU. Had forgotten this game entirely
  11. That's the one! He was probably the best of the 3, but that's not saying much.
  12. Shudder at the thought of those 3 Irish League signings of Malpas. The tiny wee left back would very unsubtly come on whatever Steelmen Online was called at the time and argue with folk about his "performances". Halcyon days.
  13. Correct on both counts. Did wonder if he might do his version of My Backwards Walk during the encore as a nod to Scott H, sadly not.
  14. LFC History would indeed suggest Wiki is wrong, but not massively materially so and highlights he came out the same box as ATS...
  15. Noone has, assuming Wiki is to be believed, he's played 11 senior games. Not for me Clive...
  16. Never mind online, there were people at the game who were desperate for Sammon to fail last night when he came on. Embarrassing stuff.
  17. Scouse friend recommended the Red Rum Club's debut album Matador. Worth a listen, if a more Mariachi influenced Zutons floats your boat.
  18. Genuinely, one of the best away performances I've ever seen at Fir Park. Hibs were sensational that day - could have been any kind of score.
  19. Always thought he looked like he had his boots on the wrong feet.
  20. I certainly wouldn't be giving up summer in the A League for a winter relegation battle in Lanarkshire.
  21. Steelmen Online shout for an alleged return for Ross McCormack...
