  1. Heading to Lanzarote on Friday for a week first time there, see what the big attraction actually is. Looking forward to the "members only" recreational clubs
  2. This is 100% a game both teams will be targeting 3 points in and rightly so. As others have said, contrasting (effective) styles should make for a decent watch (hopefully). I'll be in Lanzarote instead of sunny Arbroath though
  3. Absolutely hee haw in the winter time! Me and my daughter have started going to the gym in July, she needed a hobby and she's not sporty so she enjoys that a few times a week. Half my outdoor club play at Coatbridge indoor in the winter but I've just no enthusiasm for indoor at all
  4. East Fife 1-0 Clyde Elgin 0-2 Dumbarton Forfar 1-1 Spartans Peterhead 2-1 Bonnyrigg Stenhousemuir 2-0 Stranraer
  5. I'm sure we could creep up that table a bit if you added our 3 entries
  6. Was on a course through work today and it was delivered by none other than former Brechin favourite Scott Walker. Cracking big guy, had a good blether about lower league fitba and that, just thought I'd drop that in here
  7. I've had some absolutely messy as f*CK days/nights of the challenge cup final. Bring it on.
  8. A funny game that, United came out flying and we never looked settled at all, injury to McMaster early really didn't help at all. Once utd scored they were content to let the Airdrie back line have the ball, and really nullified the space for anything, and a few times we resorted to the long ball, and against Gallagher and Holt, there's only one winner. End of the first half we created a bit and arguably our best chance that McGregor missed. Second half for all our possession we didn't really do anything and utd defender particularly well and deserved the clean sheet I'm definitely not disappointed with the performance, we gave a decent account of ourselves but that final wee decision in and around the box has to be a bit better. As someone else said, our season won't be defined by games against utd, but I enjoyed my day tbf.
  9. And one of the best loans we've been lucky enough to have over the years
  10. *Hands up* I was one of the ones saying "we cant afford to get off to a slow start", but I've also maintained the mantra, I wont complain until it costs us. If we're still picking up points fielding 10 fit players, Hutts in goals, Prunts up front and Stuart Millar in the dug out, I'll still bite my tongue.
  11. Quiet all day Schools finish MazzyStar posts Coincidence?
  12. Too be fair, apart from a couple of invasive roasters, most of the match threads of ours so far have been pretty decent (yes even the dunfermline one!). lets get back to the real business.....
  13. We'd been League 1's resident underachiever for the longest time, someone's came in, transformed the persona of the club to a younger, media friendly, hard working unit that 99% of fans are absolutely thrilled to bits with. Its not just on the park, its everything OFF the park, prunts and friz soccer camp, wee Leon was absolutely b*zzing out his t1ts that week, players getting photos with wee guys in the Lidl when they appear, Cammy Ballantyne just walking about smiling all the time. Its a good place just now, and see if we get gubbed on Saturday, fine, we'll dust down and look to prove a point the next week. We can moan all we want about things that MIGHT happen (as @Diamonds are Forever says) and yes I'm concerned about lack of depth, BUT, as I said in the Dunfermline game, I'll moan when its costing us, but moaning now is just for the sake of it.
  14. What a difference in a year or 2 btw, actual proper football chat on this thread rather than the odd post/moan here and there. I might be in the minority, but I dont feel P&B is "overly" negative, its a bit more realistic and "proper" football chat, rather than the twitter/facebook pages. I've tried to distance myself from getting annoyed at wee guys signing or lack of loans or shallow squad, because the fact is, this team just keep surprising me. They've found a way to trump everything I've been expecting so for that McCabes built a lot of trust from me. Its a hell of a ride just now, lets enjoy it because the managers not going to be here forever.
  15. I remember a few years ago in the L1 forum, I think it was Stenny or Montrose or someone on our thread complaining about the cost of getting in and parking at our place and the general consensus was "we know it's dear but that's that", some other fans didn't accept it, but we certainly never made a stand against it or a mass walkout in protest etc. My personal view is, the price is the price, if fans want to go, they will, if they don't, they won't *Shrugs*
  16. Echo this. In an ideal world, Bright and Bevan fire the Rovers back up, we nab Bevan at the end of his deal, and the Rovers sell Bright for £1m. Sorted.
  17. Pricing ain't the fans fault, at least home supporters of various clubs are recognising its f*cking ridiculous, as are visiting fans. but the bottom line is, that's the price, clubs will say "pay it or don't". I think we can all agree, your entry and out pies are ludicrous. Anyway, f*ckin inty this gang. thanks.
  18. Yep, I'm sure he came for half a season, then signed a new deal at the start of the next season but included the caveat if a fulltime higher league team came in for him, he could go. Would be interesting to see how he done in this team or if he even fit in. Could be the wide player answer over Josh and Lewis.
  19. guy was a class act the minute he showed up. There was a reason he lasted 6 months and moved up the way. The fact is, he then went higher, and has continually played at the highest level in the country for years. Out of that list I think he'd probably be the most likely (attitude wise) I'd take.
  20. I was actually thinking about Gary Mackay-Steven the other week when I saw him being released. I'll always remember him scoring a mad goal down at Morton in the Scottish cup and then a Jamie Stevenson rattling in another bizarre goal in a 2-2 draw. we got pumped in the replay IIRC.
  21. I had looked at round about the Fairfield bowling club/fairmuir park direction and walking over. I'll have a wee look at the council website, thank you.
