If that is the case then it just adds to the incompetence of the stewards because during that time I'm sure both teams were on to them.

It would be the first time that the stewards/race director provided some consistency though.

If Hamilton ran into the back of him because he was unaware that Verstappen was going to yield the position to him, then I'd say yes.

It's the only thing I can think, because the position hadn't changed over, technically it's not been completed.

  3. I don't know if what we hear is the full story or not, but from what we've seen this race and in previous races....Massi is out of his depth here.

Race direction has been poor, and while this would be a great episode for Netflix's documentary, it's a poor reflection on the sport.

Quite clearly it's the outcome. If both drivers live to fight another day without losing places or damaging their car, then I'd say you need some amount of bad driving to receive a penalty.

There's always a line even with "let them race", punting someone off into the barriers at Copse obviously goes beyond that line.

You should never punish the result, always the action.  Again, what Lando and Perez did in Austria was no different to what happened today however we have seen a different application of the rules.

That angle of them both going off track shows Hamilton with full lock on he was never making the corner whatever max did

The question is not what Lewis was going to do, but did Max make a valid attempt to make the corner?  I'm not 100% sure, definitely the body language of the car (lack of lock up, angle coming into the corner) gives doubt, but if the onboard shows Max attempting full lock then I'm happy to say that Max wasn't at fault.

I still question the application of the rule compared to what we have seen earlier this season.

  5. He was in a fast car, but credit where it's deserved, Lewis was outstanding today and this weekend tbh.

Re: the incident between Max & Lewis.  The most damning issue is the lack of consistency here.

What was the difference between this incident and the penalties given to Lando and Perez in Austria earlier this year.  If you have set the standard at the start of the season, then it has to be continued throughout the season.

  6. Need to really see the onboard from Max, but I'm not 100% convinced he hasn't let the steering angle drift to run wide, from the outside it looked like he ran him wide.

Also he moved in the braking zone of T1 just before which he has a bad habit of doing.

  7. Considering the backlash that MacKay's appointment generated and how deeply Roy doubled down.....there's no danger he's getting rid of MacKay at this stage.  MacKay will talk the good game (we had more possession, more shots, just need the cards to fall our way, trust the process.....the usual clichés) and Roy will fall for it much like he did with Coyle.

Even if Dundee thump us on Wednesday night, I still think MacKay will be here at Christmas.

  8. Was great to see Tarran win, and if you've not seen Taylor's latest video about his decision to retire at 28, I highly recommend it.

Not sure about anyone else, but Moto 3 has equally entertained and scared me this season.  I love the close nature of the racing, but they really need to look at getting some separation between the bikes, pack racing is not a great thing, and we've had too many deaths of young riders already this season.

When we signed him our thread was absolutely chock full of county fans telling us how shite he is and what an awful signing he'd be. Considering he's one of the first names on the teamsheet for us, would walk into their team, and seems to score everytime he's back in Dingwall you can see why it's a bit of a sore point.

In his last season, Fraser was horrific for us and it had looked like he was starting to look like a player more suited to a Championship team, however it looks like a change of scenery was needed to capture that form he showed when he was first with us.

There is absolutely no issue with him celebrating that goal at all, in fact I would have preferred it if he ran towards were our board and directors were, removed his shirt showing a "Show Racism a Red Card" t-shirt underneath all will staring direct at MacKay.....maybe someone will before we sack him.
