  1. That's not the worst idea in the world - imagine the title/relegation run-ins if the fixtures were seeded based on the last season's standings.
  2. Very solid base for a team. Grady's replacement is obviously going to be the top priority then filling out the squad around what we have. Hopefully Spark signs back on; Handling and McDonald would be good to have too but are probably on decent wages so would rather get a striker in first.
  3. I didn't say Price shouldn't go - I have been 'Price Out' since the Buckie home game.
  4. I think Spark, McGrath, Handling and McDonald are the main ones out of contract? If Price is staying there will be no 'announcement'. If he is under contract why would they put something out to say he is staying? It would just highlight that he is under pressure which does nobody any good.
  5. I think he would do quite well in League 2, I wouldn't have Forfar in any danger of going down if he signed there. How has Inglis done for you? I see he's been out of the team a lot. Is that down to injuries or not in favour?
  6. I was of that opinion until the final day last season. Winning that league was one of the most memorable days I've had supporting City in around 30 years.
  7. Martin has been excellent, one of the players of the season. Mackintosh has been impressive as well but has been in and out of the team (much like everyone else!)
  8. Can't argue with a word you have said there. That second half we should have been all over them in those conditions and we played as if we were a man down. Ref cost us the first half, Price and the team cost us the second.
  9. I agree but he's going nowhere before the end of the season so we might as well park it until then.
  10. I can only assume Handling was carrying an injury and they wanted to give him the start of the second half to see if he could carry on - otherwise it is a very odd time to make a change. There is definitely a player in there with Wright, I think we have yet to see his full ability.
  11. I think his comment about players not giving enough late on in such a big game was spot on. I also thought his changes to the team were working well in the first half - Seth and Strachan both did well. The manager needs to take some of the blame for the performance as well, however. After all, it is his job to motivate the team.
  12. Agree with this 100%. And it's not just the results, it's the decline in football we are playing, the fall out with Lenny, the fall out with Grady, the lack of trying to change the game last night. He's only been here since the end of November and it already feels like so much unnecessary chaos has been caused.
  13. Thought Lenny did fine on Saturday, didn't have a lot to do but made one decent save. Will be interesting to see if he continues in goal tomorrow, I expect he will.
  14. Buckie were the better team on the day. They played good football in addition to being more physical and time and time again it's the physical side of the game that lets us down in the big games. I think it's clear as well that Price wants a different style of play to that under Kirk and I feel like performances have dipped while we are transitioning to the new style. I'm prepared to give Price the benefit of the doubt but given he has made a few very big decisions (Dropping Lenny & Grady) and both have now backfired on him it's added unnecessary pressure. Still a long way to go and I still have faith we can win the league and get promoted. But things will need to click soon and the Buckie away game now becomes a must win rather than must not lose.
  15. I have nothing to base this from but I would prefer Gavin Price or even Liam Craig.
  16. We pretty much always played with a back 3, sometimes 2 up top, sometimes 1.
  17. Couldn't agree more. Ferguson was a stand out. Good to see Seth getting back to how we know he can play, and Marc Scott makes a huge difference.
  18. I would hope a statement isn't far away considering the vote is before the Supporters' meeting on Tuesday.
  19. It would have been nice if there was a bit more transparency around it. Supporters shouldn't have to go to the club to ask the question. This was one of the complaints aimed at the previous committee.

  21. Certainly don't think you'll find any City fans taking anything for granted at this stage. Wednesday is a huge game for starters.
  22. The Brechin Arms is a decent pub, 5-10 mins from the ground. Stables is unfortunately closed. The City Club at the ground will also be open before the game I would imagine.
  23. We also hit the woodwork multiple times. Wasn't a vintage performance by any means but as said previously, Huntly defended really well (was impressed with Booth in particular who made some excellent tackles) and we were on top for the majority. We do need to start creating more chances or results like this are going to become a bit more regular and cost us as they did last season.
