What time did the rain start in Dumbarton out of interest? Think it was dry here in the vale about half 4

There is a video online of the pitch whilst the teams are warming up and there is no way the game was ever going to get completed tonight. Christs knows what the ref saw when he arrived and looked at the pitch but there were puddles of standing water all over the place.

And that person is now at linlithgow rose same with the player in question

Doesn't matter where they are now - you've admitted on here that Camelon Juniors indulged in tax evasion. I can only assume that as a committee member you condone the club breaking the law.

You haven't said what folk or even what team you refer too. Tax avoiding and underhand payments. Big accusations there.

It's from the camelon time not lithgy time

Well I didn't have Committee Member admits club indulged in tax avoidance on my Sunday bingo card. Staggeringly stupid to acknowledge that on a public forum.

Surely someone at Carmuirs has to step in and stop this shit show.

  4. Rob Roy 0  - Irvine Meadow 1

    Terrible game, even worse referee.

Thought he called the penalty wrong and as he was letting some hefty tackles go I was sure he was on the brink of losing control of the game in the second half. Luckily the substitutions took the sting out of the game but overall it was a poor effort and Irvine deserved the win even if Roy almost did steal a point at the end.

  5. The Pitch clock, it'll speed things up they said.

Hold my beer says the Red Sox pitching - two innings in an hour as the Sox seemed to do a full count on every batter in the 4th and 5th innings. I think we've seen the Baltimore batting lineup 4 times already.

8-2 to Baltimore in the middle of the 6th and the home fans have already started booing.

His point about still being upset about a defeat 3/4 days later is very telling too. I’ve never played at a decent level so maybe anyone who has can comment, but surely that’s a key skill of being a manager and player is to move on?

Reading this at the moment -

When Footballers Were Skint: A Journey in Search of the Soul of Football: Amazon.co.uk: Jon Henderson: 9781785904660: Books

The author interviews players, who were in their 80s and 90s at the time of interview, who played in the EFL before the abolition of the maximum wage in 1961 and at one point he notes how bizarre it is that these guys who haven't played the game for almost 60 years can still remember vividly something like losing 2-0 to Fulham in a meaningless end of season game.

It does seem to be something that sticks in the mind for a lot of players.

...as for those nasty clubs not allowing BSC to play on a Friday night 😆 🤣 😂 What an absolute clownshow.

    WW 0 Dunipace 2.

Comfortable and deserved win for Dunipace tonight as they get revenge for Saturday s defeat.

Keeper will be disappointed with the first one - from the enclosure it looked like he was easily going to save it but somehow he seemed to totally miss the ball. Second was a corker of a run and finish. Which luckily for the Pace came after they'd just had the miss of the season - the lad will be having nightmares about that one tonight.

Whitehill only really came into the game the last 15 minutes or so but aside from one save and miss from the rebound they didn't put the defence under enough pressure. Night and Day from Saturday as Pace were very comfortable winners in the end.

  8. Ipswich Town in the late 60s on a break in Perthshire* - playing Breadalbane in Aberfeldy.

Town in the Blue and White for those of you watching in B&W - with the manager being the one in specs. He started the first half and when it was still close at half time brought on the likes of Gerry Baker. Think its 1967.

    * - the owner was the local Laird and would often bring the team to his estate for some relaxation.

The far side at Carluke is a field that rises and rises and rises, overshadowing the ground.

When I've done a headcount at games I've seen there, there's more cows on that bank watching the match than there are spectators.

Carluke -  the rolling hills, someone who was in their garden/field for most of the game and the tractor they parked on the running track round the pitch.

One of those grounds that is freezing even in May and August.

Notice you aren't as critical of your other team. You have a sad perversion of the negativity surrounding Syngenta

    Absolutely rattled. Again.

Keep it up Alan. It amuses me to see you twist like a kite in a hurricane trying to justify the death of Camelon Juniors.

What an embarrassing display, these syngenta players are way out their depth, most wouldn't get a game with a top ammi team, whoever sanctioned the player transfers from syngenta obviously has never been at this level before and it shows week in week out, if they don't start picking up wins quickly then they will go down again.

Looks like it was 4 going on 10,

    Absolute minter of a performance.

Super though not unexpected result, the way WW have been playing recently.

At 1-1 and with Pace having hit the post I thought there was only going to be one winner - and 20 minutes later it was 3-1 to the other team :(

Pace started better but WW went ahead with what I think was there first real effort on target, ball through the defence found someone unmarked and he pulled it back for an easy finish. Pace levelled up with Wilson scoring from about 6 yards out. As mentioned Pace hit the post and looked the more threatening but it was WW who went ahead when Devers had far too much time on the edge of the box to rattle it into the bottom corner.

It went from bad to worse when WW scored a third just on HT with a free kick from the left side of the box fired across goal and saved by the keeper but it was a WW player who was first to react and they knocked it in.

Then about 90 seconds into the second half one of the WW defenders found the ball played through to him about 15 yards out and he lashed it into the net - top top finish from the boy.

Second half was awful from Dunipace and despite hitting the post again and having an effort that seemed to bobble along the line and hit a couple of players they were just a bit too lethargic upfront and at the back to really test WW. Deserved win for the visitors.
