  1. If the grass at riverside is playabale that’s incredible tbh. The amount of water that came over the wall at the airport as a result of the incredibly high tide combined with the wind literally sloshing it over was unbelievable on Sunday and even yesterday there were big parts of it still under water. Riverside Drive was partly flooded as well when the tide was up the last couple of days, and that’s before you add todays rain on top.
  2. Some of the footage there the ball looked completely dead when it bounced. Not surprised it’s off but it’s a bad situation when three hours of fairly light to moderate rain puts it beyond being playable.
  3. Forecast rain hasn't really materialised today, I guess it just depends how bad it is tomorrow afternoon after the covers come off (assuming they are down just now)? I would love to hear Clement crying his eyes out if they drop points on an absolute glue pot of a pitch with Fabio Silva diving in the sand every thirty seconds.
  4. Because he was completely and utterly hopeless with us. We probably didn’t use him to the best of his ability but when he did play he didn’t show *any* of what you’re seeing from him now, even in flashes that would suggest there was better to come.
  5. Obita is a very lucky boy here. That is completely intentional and while it not make a straight red that is absolutely a second yellow every day of the week.
  6. Can't believe we're 70 minutes in and haven't made any changes. Clear issues to resolve here and a chance to press and try to win this.
  7. Great save from Mitov there. Bit of quality from Le Fondre. Carey needs to be on for either Max or Gallacher here.
  8. Superb goal. Becoming a massive fan of Sidibeh very, very quickly.
  9. Just get Kimpioka on for Clark and have him and Sidibeh run at Fish. Keltjens passing has been appalling so far. Kucheriayvi invisible when we're in possession. Lacking creativity. Just the usual.
  10. Fish has got away with a couple of really daft things early in this game - he fell over looking for a free kick and basically picked the ball up right at the start, but somehow it was only given as a throw in? Then he clipped Sidibeh miles off the ball which would almost certainly have been a yellow card, but luckily for him the offside flag went up. All very Gavin Gunning type stuff.
  11. Are you at the game or watching a stream? Le Fondre is nothing like a penalty - he took an absolutely rotten touch, bouncing it off both his feet then fell over.
  12. Kind of incident that would never have been a penalty pre VAR, but you're surprised it wasn't awarded now. Felt like the guy who went up with Mitov was about to bounce back to his feet when he first hit the deck but then decided to lie there for a while and chance his arm. Unclear from the initial replay if Mitov got a touch on the ball first before colliding with the striker. Wind looks like it's not much fun to be playing in at all.
  13. Hard to believe that pitch inspection has resulted in a game on call. That part of the park is bound to churn up something awful as soon as the game starts.
  14. I can’t imagine Saints wanting an extra game played on our rutted mess of a pitch on the back of all this rain and snow if we don’t absolutely have to.
  15. If it had been in a playable state last night then surely there wouldn't be any doubt about the game going ahead on Saturday? There clearly is doubt, which would suggest it wouldn't have been playable yesterday. That's not altogether surprising given the weather yesterday was far, far worse than it was at the Rangers postponement. Today is clear and sunny which will help, but probably not enough to dry it out completely and given the rain forecast the next couple of days that suggests another big issue come Saturday.
  16. There was - somewhat incredibly - a game on down the Riverside pitches last night about 6pm (and btw, absolutely f**k that in that rain last night) - maybe they could shift it down there?
  17. To be fair, the first one Sylla got for that was against Nicky Clark - his head was down about knee height and Clark didn’t actually touch him, but he gave an indirect free kick for high feet anyway. That was a bizarre decision especially if you saw it side on. The one where he booked Max was fair enough. The only reason for VAR or get involved in the “goal” at the end would have been if the keeper had gone over the line before McGowan tried to head the ball, which it clearly hadn’t. Beyond that it’s obviously a foul and everyone in the stadium knew it. Same story at our goal - there was clearly no foul there or offside so what were they looking at? As far as the McCracken on Sidibeh incident; that was actually on the Sky highlights and having seen it back it was a pretty brainless move by the keeper and if he’d had a penalty against him he couldn’t really have argued - he’s got the ball in his hands, has both feet on the ground, has stopped moving and just knees Sidibeh in the chest. I can’t imagine another scenario anywhere on the park where you can deliberately play the man and it not be a foul, especially when VAR is constantly wading in and giving penalties for totally unintentional and incidental contact. It was just a really weird and awkward incident all in. VAR is a load of shite though.
  18. I haven't seen the highlights and I'm assuming that incident probably isn't in them but it looked very weird from my angle - like his leg didn't really come away from his body until he'd landed back on the ground. Usually keepers bring their knee up when they jump for the ball and not on the way down. Had no expectation at all that it would be given as a foul and even if it was, it was never going to be a red card.
  19. Would it though? Was it an actual shot on target that hit his hand? It looked from my angle that the guy was just trying to poke it past him but there was nobody else up there and he’d be going some to have scored with that shot from that position. It was the fact that it rebounded off Mitov’s arm that created the actual goal scoring opportunity. Definitely need to see it again. He should never have needed to come out into that area though - no idea where the rest of our defence had meandered off to. between about 30 and 60 minutes we were well on top and the goal had been coming for quite a while when it came. Levein fucked it though. Several players were clearly knackered by 70 minutes and when the winner came we’d still only made one sub. That was a colossal error and the tired legs made a pretty big contribution to the winner. Could easily have equalised again given we hit the post and the bar (albeit in a bizarrely non threatening way) but we should never have been in the position of needing to. Dundee made the changes to freshen it up, we didn’t and we paid the price.
  20. First round of the year earlier this week. Got round in a nett +1, which is fine given it was absolutely soaking and my first time on the course in four months. Required 44 (that's FORTY FOUR) putts though, including two spectacular four putts. So a clear focus to work on for the new season...
  21. You lot miss the DABs really, and the whole of Scotland would have a great laugh at an Aberdeen relegation. And imagine the joy if we get to relegate United again next season.
  22. Would be very hard to decide who to support in that final.
