OOOFT, you spent part of your evening on a Pars thread scrolling back to July [emoji106]
Classic wee team behaviour tbh.
[emoji38] OOOFT, I’m up to the end of August now and the tone has changed dramatically, amazing how things change in the space of a month0 -
Todorov and Wighton will cause a lot of teams problems. Even if teams handle them well, you still have O’Hara, Thomas, Dorrans, Kennedy to deal with.
We might not win the title but it’s clear scraping 4th will not be acceptable this season.
OOOFT, that aged well [emoji106]1 -
A small sample from a single page of start of the season (Walking Down the Halbeath Road p2152):
Stellaboz :
"Just give us the league trophy already"
ShaggysBeard:
"The squad now looks at the very least competitive with Kilmarnock, maybe even slightly better. Out wide and up front I think the squad is looking comfortably ahead of our rivals."
101 :
"8/1 now seems mental price for us to win the league. Not saying it's guarantee but I would have thought 3/1 would have been much closer"
DAFC :
"Still think Kilmarnock will win it, but I'd be expecting to be pushing them all the way with that attacking line-up."
Stoo61 :
"To be completely honest, this is unfair now, absolutely strolling this league.
Over by Christmas".
Ramitbawdeep:
"This is a well balanced squad. If we've not won the league before the clocks go back Grant has to go."
HOW MANY MORE FROM THE USUAL POSTERS ON HERE WOULD YOU LIKE WOULD YOU LIKE?
Raith_Raver, with the usual 7 red dots:
"Great to hear the perennial bragging about how you're going to win the league before it's started, followed by the inevitable "get that c**t out" when reality strikes around January."
With one of a dozen typical replies, eg Stellaboz:
"You're not this thick. Are you? Seriously, you cannot be this stupid. If you're genuinely this stupid, I honestly feel sorry for you."
We want more [emoji23]1 -

It's quite scary how utterly desperate Raith fans are to see Hughes fail. Similar to our administration/relegation period they really do harbour the biggest, most bitter grudges. Put that in with rancid xenophobia & they really are an unpleasant lot.
Nah, its just a quality laugh at the minute0 -
Bitter wee team mentality. How much did you guys borrow to build your hospitality shed?
Slightly different. Making an investment to get a return to make a profit, What I was talking about was when your previous board couldn’t read a balance sheet and do basic arithmetic which resulted in you shafting many local businesses (some owned by fans)0 -
I mean, we have been through the embarrassment of seaside football since admin, so it's hardly a new thing for us to be going through what we are. This time it's down to complete ineptitude by the board in making big decisions.
Getting back to the on field issues. I think our only hope going forward would be playing a basic 4-4-2 and just by-passing the midfield all together. It's no use launching balls to McCann constantly when there is no-one there to play off it. So why continue with the one up front thing? Just bite the bullet, play basic stuff and try and shitfest results. Doing that, combined with having a couple of midfielders that will just put themselves about and not give up on second balls, that will probably give us the only chance of winning games now. It's far too late to play "good football" and play to "philosophies of the game" We need to start battling for results now, and that probably means ditching the "easy on the eye" stuff. James Maxwell, conversely compared to Edwards, would suit that kind of mantra, so he would be a decent addition in that respect if we can just launch Edwards in to the sea. I'm mentioning him as he seems to be the only name we are solidly linked with. Our biggest problem, obviously, is the midfield, but the defence is a complete shambles as well.
If Connolly is away, and it certainly looks it, you're probably looking for an experienced centre half as well. So 2 midfielders at least, a centre half, a left back and possibly a forward player depending who moves on. Good luck Yogi, you're going to need it.
To be fair, you say ‘This time’ but I’m sure that there was a time in the past when the Board also couldn’t do basic arithmetic and borrowed a little too much from the Bank2 -
But still hanging round the Morton v Dunfermline thread like a bad smell. Weird bunch of people. Winning a big game, which would put you 1 point off top, but Raith fans would rather come here and talk about Dunfermline.
You’ve got to admit, it is a bit hilarious [emoji23]0 -

Great save by the ‘keeper, but what about that for brilliant second ball defending. That Dendonker boy looks like he never wanted to win that ball

Watched your Boards Q&A that they ran a few months back and the thing that struck me was that members of the board were adamant that your opposition ‘raised their game against Falkirk’.
We raised our game today, but only because we gave you a man advantage for 70+ minutes0 -
Jackpot [emoji620]

From the outside looking in, I would think that the reason that Grant is still there is purely financial. You might find that the Board have given him a bumper contract and the thought of paying him off and then paying a replacement is too much to bear
