  1. That will be me then! Yes I was going to buy £500 of shares for my son's Christmas. I have had a few e-mail exchanges with people on the Board about how to register them (given that he is under 16) and how it would work with the benefits. I am already a shareholder and have put money into the club each and every year for the last 5 years through player sponsorship, match sponsorship and just general donations.

If you want to cherry pick sound bites and make sweeping assumptions about people at least get your facts right. As I said on fantalk it was a present for my son. He is so dis-heartened with our current performances it would hardly be a welcome present any more. So no I won't be investing and the reason is pruley that the utter dross being served up has all but put my son off going with me each weekend.

Graeme, sounds like you do more than your bit for the club, so a big thumbs up there.

I just cant understand how defeats to Ayr and Livi would change your mind about giving £500 to the club. The football on offer since last season hasn't changed (with the exception of the Tade effect), the only change is the end results.

  2. What utter drongos. Reminds me why I more or less gave up on Fantalk. A lot of sense being spoken on here. On balance going to the second division isn't exactly Armageddon but only if you can return in one or two seasons. When you get stick down there for longer it's utterly soul destroying. I'd much rather secure 8th this season then at least we'll hopefully have the Pars games next season.

Thats the key for us next year. Crowds in the second division wouldn't really be much different to the crowds we have seen this year in the First. However the big difference would be if the Pars come down.

  3. Have to agree with most of what Raith Against the Machine is saying.

I honestly think that John Mcglynn is by far and away the best man for the job ( long term) and cant believe some of the comments made against him. For me his only mistake is keeping the squad full time when we all knew in the close season that it was too small. But you cant blame the man for having ambition as its highly unlikely that a part time team would win the division and get promotion to the SPL. If he had taken the decision to go part time Im sure that the same people would have shot him down for lacking ambition.

I was on fan talk this morning for my weekly look through the raith tinted specs and cant believe some of the comments especially from the people who were going to buy £500 of shares then suddenly arent going to invest anymore. yeh yeh i believe you, just because we got beat of Ayr and Livi your not going to invest in your football club, yeh yeh of course you were going to buy those shares...............
