Sad news with the death of two time TDF winner Laurent Fignon. Been ill for ages but seemed to be on the mend at this years tour.

Fat people should have less luggage allowance on planes.
Anyone who wants to live in this country should be allowed to.
The royal mail should be scrapped, why do we need mail. Couriers for parcels, email for everything else.

You do need to have a TTT in the first few days if you are having one so may as well be the prologue & limit the time differences. Why have it on floodlit streets though?

So Contador wins by 39 seconds, The same gap he took from Schleck when he had his mechanical problems.
For all the talk of a good tour for the French with stage wins the best on GC is Gadret in 19th

I think Contador should not have attacked at that pint & allowed Schleck to regain his place in the group.
To claim he didn't know is a blatent lie & the crowd let him know what they thought of him.

Contador has got Schleck exactly where he wants him, no need to defend the jersey just stick with Andy.
Not sure I would wait till the TT though, you just never know what can happen with the weather although they will go last & 2nd last so the conditions should be the same for both.

Only reason he got taken out of the race was the dislike the establishment have for Cavendish.
The stuff you saw today goes on day in day out on throughout the season without any punishment.
Apparently it's ok for 2 riders to have a punch up (after the stage had finished TBF) with one trying to hit the other with a wheel.
If they say it's because the blocking of Farrar then maybe the have a case to dq from the stage but not the tour.
Cav is the 3rd man since WWII to win at least 3 stages in 3 consecutive tours. The other 2 being Mercx & Hinault.

Surley the way ahead is to maximise the income from the stadia away from matchdays, owning the stadium is vital.
