Unfortunately as a team who will be involved in a relegation battle we aren't in a position to throw 17 year olds into the CB position having never kicked a ball professionally before.
It worked with Nicky Devlin? All right it was in the (old) second division but still...

I still feel McNiff was written off too early. Nobody really gave him a chance at this level. Think he played about 2/3 games? Probably wouldn't get in the team now anyway with Graham and Barry.

I feel he did show some potential in an away game against Hamilton last year.
How old is he again? If he's under 20 I reckon he'll be back to feature for us. Providing he does well at Berwick.

A winger, a centre back and a couple of strikers are needed now.
I expect the keeper who performs best in pre season to be number one when the league starts. I suppose you could say we don't actually have a number one keeper.

Does anyone actually know if he was holding out for full time? Someone speculated it on here but it was never confirmed.

I'm pleased with the amount of players we have capable of playing more than one position. Giving us plenty of options and may reduce the amount of playing staff required, therefore saving money on wages or offering a wee bit more to attract decent players.

I feel that playing alongside someone like Graham or Murray he could really come on. He is still young after all. I hope he gets his chance in pre season and I reckon he will or his contract would probably have been mutually terminated at the end of the season.

I reckon that's probably just slow journalism. It was well known we were wanting to keep him on but I think Ian Murray said it wouldn't be happening.
