We can have sanctimonious posts about our overspending until the cows come home but these few words sum up the situation. Despite our fiscal fuckwittery we were still in the game so long as our various sugar daddies kept things ticking over.
The sugar daddies tested Masterton's resolve and are surely unsurprised to find he was lacking the wedge to keep DAFC ticking over in its current form.
If we end up homeless and without a league to play in I'm sure some sort of Dunfermline football club will return. If we end up as a shining example of how not to do things then maybe our downfall will be of some use to other clubs/fans.
In defence of the Pars fans, the few who turned up today gave the team a good ovation. 0-4 down at half time yet they still got an ovation and again at full time. You can't expect DAFC to be any different to any other team in terms of numpty fans per capita.

This has to be the most honest, coherent thing to come out of DAFC for a long time.
Only just noticed this forum.
£5 on Saturday for Pars v MORTON, Sons v FALKIRK and a draw between Cowden and Raith paid £78.
Partick at 7/5 on Saturday seems like good value given the wages woe at East End.
I'm surprised Pressley found the time to even think about signing a player for you given the amount of time and energy he puts in to looking for a new job.
The players were probably overexcited - Masterton's motivational peptalk on the BBC probably had them so sky high JJ had to sit them all down and give them a spoonful of Calpol before they could start training.
I felt like I was being hypnotised watching the interview. All I can hear in my head now is 'Do a St Mirren. Do a St Mirren. Do a St Mirren. Do a St Mirren.'.
A spokesperson for the club commented "Further to an extremely detailed review by our financial advisors and legal experts.....
insert your own line here.
The mind boggles. We have financial advisors?

Noticed on dotnet that the journalist used to work for the Dunfermline Press and was present at one of the recent open meetings. Sounds like the ideal man to get his teeth into the story.
Was just having a read about it on dot net but surprise surprise the thread vanished.
The gist seemed to be than the plan is to pour money in to the black hole.
