  1. You wont. You give the fuckwits their own section ffs
  2. The OF really do draw the absolute dregs of society into their support.
  3. The old "contact" argument. It's a contact sport ya fucking fannies.
  4. If "Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun" has taught me anything it's that these ex-pat communities are full of Union Jack shagging, Royal loving fuckwits and IMO the more of these folk who f**k off out of this country to live in sunshine and squalor in Spain, the better.
  5. He's a dinosaur. Obviously not name-dropping but I have it from a 'very good source' he was just as much the problem as Bartley. It'll be interesting to see how Gibson does at Annan if he gets the job without Murray being there.
  6. I got the impression it's Murphy and his background staff. Especially when the GK coach has said his goodbyes on Twitter.
  7. Just watched the highlights there. Shocking penalty decision for the second and a clear as day foul throw for the first Spartans goal. Be pretty pissed off if I was a Peterhead fan.
  8. Another good example but I didn't know just how well he got on at Annan. I've said a few times throughout this shitshow of a season that we had a decent squad. Bartley just had an incredible ability to get the absolute worst out of them.
  9. It absolutely wasn't rumoured yesterday. A Kelty fan made a joke and you've taken it as a rumour I do find it incredible you're so dismissive of Murphy when you were one of, if not the, last one to be supportive of Bartley.
  10. I wasn't impressed with Kilsby at all. But as much as I didn't rate Ferguson either, I did say a few weeks back that I wouldn't write him off as Bartley could have had McGinn at his disposal and make him look shite. Kilsby may well be a different player in Murphy's system.
  11. He was treading thinly when he started going on about The Messiah though I understood the point he was making though.
  12. I've honestly no idea. I just asked someone connected to the club if we'd have a BoD and they said definitely and the transition.
  13. And I'm sure the first thing McCall would have said would be "I need a bucketload of cash". No thanks. Of course there's no evidence he can assemble a squad to get out of this league, he's not been given the chance to do it! Not sure why you're mentioning Goss and Smith unless you've heard something? I'll be gobsmacked if both return.
  14. Been told we'll have a new board in place but in the same sentence I was told the old board won't just disappear. There will be a transition period. Which makes sense tbh.
  15. We spent well a few seasons ago and ended up in serious financial trouble. I may be boring but I'd sooner watch us in League 1 than not at all.
  16. Murphy has achieved something as a manager and it isn't his first gig. For those two reasons alone I don't think it's fair to say he's like those two.
  17. Yeah a decent interview. And he's just short of saying 'We (Queens fans) need a bit of a reality check' which I think is fair. If he can build something next season that at least looks like a progressive work in progress, I'll be content, even if it means we don't get promoted. With Bartley we never improved at all throughout the season and for me that was the biggest frustration. Even if there had been signs of 'the players are now starting to get this system' I'd have been happy. But they looked as hapless throughout. It's not the most optimistic interview but Bartley's were early days and we know how that worked out. A bit of a more level headed approach is perhaps what's needed. His comment about " Annan..... but Queens are in a totally different league..." did make me laugh out loud. A brilliant David Brent comment I was excited by him saying we need to get more physical though. Something we've been lacking for years and in all honesty I'd love him to bring in one or two hammer throwers. I can't remember the last time I was at Palmerston where I got to cheer a good hard tackle. On a sidenote, I love our ingenuity with the lack of "V".
  18. As am I. We can keep the money he'd have undoubtedly squandered on a bloated squad.
  19. You realise you support Queens, aye? What kind of appointment were you expecting? We signed a manager last year that was way out of the norm for us and it has literally resulted in the worst season I've ever had watching QoS. I'll be absolutely delighted if Carlisle United end up being interested in Murphy.
  20. I know what you're saying but I don't think any candidate would have managed a side who finished above us last season tbh. We've all been dismissive of candidates mentioned on the other thread but the reality is we're hardly a an appetising prospect either. I'm happy enough with Murphy as he's massively overachieved at his previous employer with a tiny budget. We need someone who can work with a small budget and get the best from a small squad. I think Murphy has done that with Annan and am hopeful he can do the same with us. Time will tell of course.
  21. It shows how broken we are as supporters the now that we're discussing the logistics of sacking our new manager, 40 minutes after he's been announced
