  1. Whoa boy. United are still c***s for doing that. Every game that I've been to has been abandoned at half time has been free entry. We didn't charge Hibs fans when are floodlights caught fire last season. The time honoured tradition is that if a match is abandoned at half time then the rescheduled fixture is free for all those who attended the original game. Stephen Thomson went for a cash grab plain and simple and he should be condemned for his actions.
  2. The SFA are the only relevant football authority. The SPL isn't a football authority it is a trade group. As such the SFA can punish a football club, the SPL can only punish companies that own football clubs. Usually a merely pedantic difference but in this case it is a big one since the football club is being separated from the company.
  3. This is something that has confused me. Is submitting all contracts to the SFA an SFA rule or an SPL rule or both. If it is an SFA rule Why are the SFA not in charge of the investigation. If we are wiping out trophies surely the SPL ca only deal with league titles.
  4. That would be punishing the newco for the actions of the oldco. The SPL could try and make terms of transfer of share that the newco take responsibility for all past actions but that to me is illegal. If newco were punished with a fine or points penalty I think they would win any court case. The only authority who has the right to punish newco for past actions is the SFA. They don't deal with companies like the SPL, they deal with clubs. Punishments due to a transfer of share are still on the table so really forward punishments of EBTs is irrelevant since the SPL gave themselves open options for punishment and I'm sure they will be looking at all the circumstances that lead to a share transfer being needed. If they chuck them out of the SPL then there will be no avenue to punish the newco for EBTs anyway. The vacating of trophies is good enough for me, a permanent black mark against Rangers.
  5. I think Doncaster is correct to suspend the ruling until they take some legal advice over what is an available sanction for EBTs. This doesn't mean there will be no sanctions if the SPL votes for the share transfer since the SPL just changed the rules so they could impose sanctions on the newco. The SPL certainly can't levy fines or future points deductions for EBTs now so that means if found guilty the vacating of trophies. I don't think trophies should go to runners up, instead there should be no winner so that when anyone looks at a history book they immediately know something was wrong and I don't particularly agree with re-awarding trophies well after the fact since any joy gotten by the new winners is completely false and overshadowed by the feeling of losing at the time.
  6. What? First it would be UEFA who take action. Second that is very unlikely. Third Newcos aren't a new invention, they have been used by many clubs across Europe.
  7. Lots of punishments for lots of transgressions. Other fans feel free to add to the list.
  8. He has a £2m wage bill coming at the end of the month and no other income, his investor list is getting shorter and nothing will be concrete for a few weeks. if he can get to he start of the season with mccoist in charge then he will be ok but that is £4m of working capital away.
  9. Green might be getting out-manoeuvred here. All the press and fans group are going to be Walter mad, if the season ticket money might not come in meaning that that the first effective boycott is of their own team. Green is getting a very raw deal here, he put up the money and got the only workable deal done.
  10. Gordon smith, what was it like working at ibrox? I never really had work to do, they just gave me money
  11. Actually that is more accurate. SPL voting rules are % of all membership supporting a resolution.
  12. I'm not sure about this but I think club licensing was brought in as the SFA have been extending licences to more and more clubs, the Scottish cup this year might need a prelim round because of all the new eligible clubs. SFA membership is granted in perpetuity meaning that these smaller clubs wouldn't have any real scrutiny without club licences to make sure they are keeping up standards, I don't think it was imagined it would be a barrier to higher up teams. The SPL decided that clubs should need an licence to participate. Rangers haven't met the basic credentials of submitting accounts. Maybe HibeeJibee can elaborate but I don't think you need a licence to retain membership, it just means your clubs status will come under review.
  13. Well in essence the SFA membership is the football club. All Green has is a stadium and some other bits and bobs. Hypothetically a billionaire could come along right now and pay off all the debts of the oldco in full and would then own the football club
  14. Oldco haven't died yet. They are in the same legal position as they were yesterday. In administration. The only difference is that they have sold their stadium, training ground and car park. The only assets they have left are SFA membership and SPL share and those are non-sellable and non-transferable without consent.
  15. They can appoint Chuckie Green as a proxy if they want for the SPL meeting. SFA is aboard meeting, don't know if they have to send a rep.
  16. Yes. Newco aren't members of those organisations but oldco still are. Membership and shares can't be transferred without consent of the relevant authorities.
  17. The Whyte-Murray deal was mutually beneficial. I think Craig Whyte thought he was smarter than the authorities and could get past all this tax mess with his ticketus deal still intact. Only an obscure difference between scots and English law saw them turfed out. I actually. Don't think Green will sell, too good a deal and many millions to be made. Edit: f u apple
  18. Not mad at all, I posted it a few pages back. I'm sure Green wants Walter on board for credibility and to stop the sniping from Leggo, MacMillan and the rest. Walter will bring everyone in the Rangers Family together. I'm also sure he would welcome any funds as an investment into his group
  19. Even if this was Walter's move all along to buy out any newco to avoid criticism and be a hero it still isn't a conspiracy. For the plan to work all you needed was a CVA to fail and a newco to form, which was talked about for a while. People have been waiting on the BTC result since the new year, it was a certainty Rangers would eventually go into Admin even when Whyte took over (the non payment of tax is testament to that) A group thinking ahead ( which obviously wasn't the case since Donald Park was part of the Blue Knights) still isn't a conspiracy. I don't think Craig Whyte was an agent for anyone but himself and Charles Green seems to be on the level too.
  20. Just because this is the way it happened doesn't mean it is a conspiracy. If Walter has been able to attract funds to buy out Green because the newco is already formed is probably because it is more palatable to investors, definitely not a conspiracy proof. With all the shit that happened during admin this must be worst planned conspiracy going.
  21. New flash BDO don't give a f**k about the asset sales. There will be no money after they investigate thoroughly. This will be a long and forensic investigation into how Rangers avoided taxation. If they can prove it was deliberate and if there is any recourse legally against directors etc. If all HMRC wanted was a few more pence in its pocket they would have got it in a CVA. this is now about getting people not money. D&P estimated £1m for liquidation, expect all available funds to be used to find the dirt on Whyte, Murray et al.
