They weren’t paid off but they still would have eaten into the budget mcglynn had. The likes of McGuffie, Martin, Hetherington, Wilson and Ross you could easily have 1 or 2 quality players for all they wages.

Indeed from the 19/20 season 5 of the teams are now in league 2 - East Fife, Dumbarton, Peterhead, Stranraer and Forfar. Clyde possibly joining that list.
